Former UCLA coach Jim Mora said on the NFL Network that Sam Darnold would be a better fit in Cleveland than Josh Rosen because of the city’s “blue-collar, gritty attitude.”
Here is the full quote: “Because of fit, I would take Sam Darnold if I were the Cleveland Browns,” Mora said. “I think [he has] that blue-collar, gritty attitude. I think his teammates will love him. I think the city will love him. He’ll say the right things. He’ll come in and represent well. I think he kind of represents what Cleveland is.”
Mora also said the New York teams should take Josh Rosen. I like Mora’s honesty. If the tables were turned and Darnold was at UCLA, would Clay Helton ever say the Browns should take Darnold? No way.

Mora is half right. the part he is incorrect though is that he would fit in New York as well. Their weather is horrible during the late fall and winter months. Darnold would fit right in. Besides, Darnold is a better player than rosen.
