Pro Football Talk is back, reporting the New England Patriots could pursue Kliff Kingsbury to be offensive coordinator if Josh McDaniels goes to Green Bay or Cleveland.
Imagine Kliff Kingsbury’s dilemma: Who will help his reputation more? Working for Clay Helton or Bill Belichick? Gee, tough choice.
The #Patriots are preparing for the departure of Offensive Coordinator Josh McDaniels to either the #Browns or #Packers and could pursue Kliff Kingsbury to replace him, per @ProFootballTalk Mike Floriopic.twitter.com/cgFuXuXktp

Yes – that truly would be an opportunity that is far more attractive then being the helmsman for the NYJ or AZ….to replace Josh McDaniels with Bill Belichick strill ‘in situ’….

If Kingbury stays than he’s in for the long haul for USC

One way or the other, this will be a good indicator if Kliff is a “college” guy vs pro.

Well said Pud just what is Kingsbury idea of a career – (remember that goofy show Petros used to host?) the pros or the joes? If one is successful there is so much more job security in college compared to the NFL. It comes down to where the person feels most comfortable as well as most satisfied. Coaching kids vs. adults – big difference – pros/cons on both sides.
I suspect this will play out quickly and regardless of who snagged Kingsbury it was a great move by Swann. If Kingsbury chooses to move on just hopeful there is someone else in mind as all good mgmt. teams know is necessary for sudden change such as this.

If Kingsbury leaves Larry Fedora would be a good choice. He has good offensive mind but wasnt a great head coach

I’m so confused. This guy couldn’t win as a college coach, but everyone wants him? As matter of fact his win loss record is worse than Helton ‘s. I don’t care if you blame Darnold for Helton’s success, Helton was still the winning coach of those games. What makes Kingsbury so special? A parrot can say pass, pass, pass.
If he’s so great cut him loose if he wants SC he’ll stay. If he’s not for SC we really need to know.

USC beats the trees to a pulp to go 2-0 in the pac12. They played with only 7 suited scholarship players again.
Thanks Enfield!!

Remind me Pud, which team received an NCAA tournament invitation.
Which stiffed team had to accept a bid to the NIT, only lose in the second round @ the Galen Barn to Western Kentucky.

Well said JO—-Pud thinks that SC should be like Mater Dei—-except the rules are different—on the other hand, SC has never cared about rules before!
