Afternoon Notes: Lots Of QB’s In Town

Steve Clarkson is having his big quarterback retreat this weekend at Palisades High School.  Future USC QB Bryce Young is there along with USC wide receivers Amon-Ra St. Brown and Kyle Ford. Also there is USC commit WR Josh Jackson of Narbonne.

Clemson QB Trevor Lawrence, Alabama QB Tua Tagovailoa, Michigan QB Shea Patterson, Oklahoma QB Jalen Hurts, St. John Bosco QB DJ Uiagalelei are among those in attendance.

  • USC women’s basketball player Minyon Moore committed to Oregon this afternoon. She will be eligible immediately as a graduate transfer. Oregon is considered a contender to win the national title next season.

    1. Women B/B lose both Moore’s now. Coach Trakh is not doing the job.
Nice man who was always cordial to me the first time around here.
Recruiting is very lacking in name power and front line players. A sport
which uses only 5 starters both ways takes one or two impact people
to be come a contender almost instantly. No excuse for not having an
energetic, competent head Coach to lead the way back.

  1. Hard to judge the direction of the women’s team. They have had some transfers but signed 3 5-Star Players in their recruiting class. Did the coach clean house? Are these freshman that good to push out others? Or is the coach not so liked among the team?
