USC Lands A Three-Star Lineman

Offensive tackle Casey Collier of Baytown, Texas, doesn’t care about the uncertainty regarding Clay Helton.

Collier committed to USC today. Why not? His two other most serious choices were Minnesota and Texas Tech. He is a three-star and not ranked individually by Rivals.

247Sports has Collier as the 95th-best offensive tackle in the nation. What’s funny is two other USC tackles, Andrew Milek and Andres Diwerk, are Nos. 98 and 99.

    1. Correct answer Nero, first thing I thought was stars are relative as we all have seen what a 3 star quarterback can do in spite of a lack of coaching. But players like Slovis are rare, so I hope the evaluation is lower than the talent level.

    2. Coach Clay doing work! Hardest working man at USC! When will you fools wake up and see that Coach Clay is the man! Who else could pull in a top 100 player at his position with all the shit you @ssholes are throwing at him.

  1. No disrespect to any of the young men recruited…but USC seems to be running on all two cylinders this week.
Who is coaching our players for our bowl game? Inaction hurts them the most…..

      1. I don’t know 22, Josh Allen’s 36hr hero gig was pretty weird.

Remember how Clown U glowed with smug, Josh Allen, hero pride.

      Yeah, MG.
      You and I–We–all do.
It’s why we support our school and the kids.

BTW, there is an uplifting story about Michael Pittman on the USC Athletics official website. You will like it.

    2. Michael,

There is down time for the players right now. They won’t start bowl practice until later in the month. They get fifteen practices. Besides, SC does not know where they are going for a bowl game. They will find out Sunday, then the kids will have finals. After finals, then they wills start up.

  2. I have been Cardinal and Gold since 77. I am waiting to renew my donor status and my season tickets for the first time since 1977. If our new AD does not remove Clay Helton as Head Football Coach I am not renewing. I love our school but this appears to be the only means of protest left to me and others like me to voice our hope for change. I would imagine I’m not the only one. Fight On!

    1. Thanks for all the years of support, Howard.
Sorry we sucked in 1983. I was a part of that problem.

You’ve supported during some tough years–Tollner, Hackett, JR II…
and the last two years. You’re a good man. Better days are ahead.

  4. Har har har #1UCLAfan. How’s it going with a pimp for your DC? Our 3 star dud linemen are UGLY’s “get”. Chip is trying to reinvent football to show us all how smart he is while wasting all the donors money and time. And your basketball team lost to Hofstra. lmao
