Major Donor Calls USC Program “Dog—-“

Brian Kennedy has donated millions to USC over the years. His name is on a practice field used by the football program. It also adorns the Founders Room in the Galen Center, where food is served before basketball games. He graduated from USC and was a lifelong friend to former wide receiver Hal Bedsole.

He is in New Orleans tonight because he is a close friend of Ed Orgeron and attended the Eddie Robinson Coach of the Year banquet tonight honoring Orgeron.

Asked about the current state of the Trojans’ program, Kennedy said: “Dogshit.”

      2. What kind of world do we live in when these role models (roll eyes) curse like sailors and demean their alma maters?

What would be a fitting punishment, MG?

  1. It is too bad that this won’t do any good. The train has left the station, Helton is still wearing his conductor’s cap, smiling as his multi-million dollar contract continues, Bohn is shoveling coal into the tender, and Folt is waving bye bye to the fans who watch, dumbfounded.

Best of luck to Coach O and LSU on Monday.

    1. Scott buried the lede: The players revolted when Pat Haden told them Ed was fired right before the 2103 ruin game:

USC football mega-booster unhappy with the state of the program

“…Kennedy was one of the USC supporters that wanted to see Orgeron promoted from interim head coach to permanent head coach.

“It was heartbreaking, especially for the players,” Kennedy recalled. “I don’t know if you know this or not, but the players went out there before the UCLA game because they knew he wouldn’t get a job and they went out there and formed a great big ‘O’ in the middle of the field.

“The kids did not want to play. I heard from the locker room that they threatened the revoke of scholarships if they didn’t go out on the field. They loved him that much. That tells you something about him.”

    1. Google Regency Advertising, it is owned by the Kennedy family.

As Arte Johnson said, “very interesting but dumb” referring to Kennedys business ethics and tactics.

      He ain’t so clean fellas.

So maybe dogshit refers to his former employees describing him.

Listen, punk. To me you’re nothin’ but dogshit, you understand? And a lot of things can happen to dogshit. It can be scraped up with a shovel off the ground. It can dry up and blow away in the wind. Or it can be stepped on and squashed. So take my advice and be careful where the dog shits ya!

  3. Well I’m sure this was an off the cuff remark. However he is saying what a lot of people are thinking. What other nationally recognized team is purposefully entering a third season without a complete staff, and with a openly incompetent coach?
USC had been described as anything from a dumpster fire to a complete shit show. The one that gets my hackles up is “Clown College,” even if they earn it all too often.

Truman, excellent question, but sadly, I believe SC is now no longer nationally recognized.

Minnesota of all places is getting more coverage than SC. At least positive coverage.

  4. Good for you Brian!!
USC is Dog Shit right now with no end in sight!
Hopefully, a mega donor like Brian can wake up these twits in the Administration and kick them in their cozy Asses and clean house and
Hire A competent Head Coach and new staff.
USC is a Big Time embarrassment to Ex Players like me!
They’ve pissed away any goodwill from former players and loyal fans!!
