The restoration of the USC-Mater Dei pipeline looks like it still needs some work as cornerback Jaylin Davies committed to Oregon today.
Davies is the No. 7-ranked cornerback in the nation by Rivals. He chose Oregon over USC, Arizona State and Ohio State.
Oregon now has the nation’s No. 6-ranked recruiting class per Rivals. USC is ranked No. 3.
Oregon might be catching up in the silly recruiting rankings—but, luckily, it all comes down to coaching….

Yeah, Ruins were so excited when they signed Potato Chip. Some total morons said, “Look what he did with 3 & 4 star athletes at Oregon. Just wait to see what he does with 1 & 2 star athletes!”
Why they assumed he would be able to recruit 1 & 2 star studs at FUCLA is anyone’s guess.

So when Bryce Young had committed to USC I was able to converse with him through Twitter. I told him that there was no way that USC would ever allow him to play, much less get a fair shot at competing for the starting QB job.
He was aware USC had recruited black QB’s and ended up persuading them to switch their position to WR or DB.
The young man obviously talked to the Trojan coaches and got the feeling that the staff would eventually walk him down the same path as other black QB’s before him and ended up telling USC, “Thanks, but no thanks”.
And the rest is history.

From what I have heard all along, Davies wasn’t a big target for USC. Jaylin Smith and Nathanial Wiggins are the bigger targets. We already secured the flip of Anthony Beavers from the Ducks. We are going to have competition, that’s good. Keeps USC fighting for these guys and then they know they have to produce on the field. We won’t know what happens until Saturdays anyway. USC has a lot to prove. Especially since we made the big mistake of retaining Helton. He is our Achilles heel in this whole ball game.

USC has had the most talent in the conference for decades, even through the probation period. So that #3 recruiting ranking means nothing as long as the Buffoon Idiot, Clay Helton is the coach. The last four years speaks for itself, Helton’s going into his 5th season, and still hasn’t developed a team that can compete in the playoffs 😂😂. Man… this USC, not Oregon State 😂😂

But they were given the title of best recruiting classes to go the opposite of being successful as failures with their classes being considered top 20 in that span only to not come close to reaching any success with. They are the ultimate underachieving program.

So this blog is not racist according to resident bloggers. Yet, someone is supposed to feel shame for having Obama in his handle name? Wow! Disappointment in my university alumni does not even begin to describe how i feel about fellow alumni. That is what the football team and black student union is referring to. To all African American students and student athletes: Think long and hard before committing to USC, Please! The degree is wonderful because it opened doors i would not have thought possible. However, it is not all it is cracked up to be and the truth is if you are ambitious, capable and hard working then you will be successful no matter what university you attend. If you go to USC then you must also deal with people who live in a bubble and are emotionally committed to ignorance and bigotry.

Ok…so you’re saying this exists at USC to a greater degree than other schools? Honestly, if recruits thought that the regulars here were representative of the USC fan base, you wouldn’t need to tell them not to come. However, wouldn’t I find people just like this on the blogs that cover other programs?

I’m thinking that southern schools will probably lead the way in positive tests and nobody is really talking about the inevitable spread of this virus through contact sports. I’ve seen people talk about herd immunity, but given the current death rate of this virus, do you know how many people would have to die before we achieved herd immunity? This doesn’t even take into account the normal flu season, and you’re telling me you’re going to have the widespread playing of contact sports this coming fall and winter? You say you want to somehow include spectators too? I understand the need for cash and circuses, but I’m not sure where I would be as a player or the parent of one. Not necessarily to a “greater” degree but when kids commit to USC (Especially out of state kids) they have a certain “Hollywood” and / or “Kumbaya” expectation in the head due to recruiting practices and promises. Just want them to know it is not necessarily that way when they get there. I believe it should be that way but i want them to know that USC is not the place to escape the bigotry and racism they grew up with. It is alive and well at USC which is why Scott points out no African American Head Coach for Football (which is the money maker at USC) Yet, Clay Helton remains our head coach. And you have people on this blog that were upset over an online Juneteenth celebration that the university endorsed. But, to you’re point it does happen other place which is why you saw Chubba Hubbard speak out and all these Iowa players are now speaking out. Enough is enough it really does not matter that it happens other places because it needs to stop everywhere now. Do not tell me about AD’S because they are not the ones on TV every Saturday. It is the Head Football Coach.

Grossly demeaning, no question about it, depending on circumstances.

Try being a male accused of a crime, and referring to the plaintiff who accuses you as a “chick”, while Gloria Allred is just waiting to pounce.
I’d hate to see what happens if a male CEO said “We better get another chick on our Board of Directors to show we are serious about diversity.”

The posts of gotroy22 are from white nationalist news outlets such as breibart news. The Anti-Defamation League described Breitbart News as “the premier website of the alt-right” representing “white nationalists and unabashed anti-Semites and racists”. So when i try to have a conversation and all that person does is copy and post from this website and others like it with likes and defense from other bloggers, what am i supposed to feel? I mean damn!, at least give me Fox news. If he is gonna go that route then i could just keep copying and pasting CNN and far left B.S. with no original thought of my own. Therefore not having a conversation of validity but just antagonizing and attacking people. He accuses me of not graduating high school, drinking before bed and attacking innocent hard working white people. I never accuse any of you of not being a good citizen but because of my beliefs i get accused of being a stupid, undesirable citizen. Which we all know what he really is calling me and to boot you and other bloggers have liked and defended his comments.

Mega, a couple of thoughts:
Regarding GT22 and supporting his posts. I definitely have, and here are some that I recall hitting the like button:
1. African Americans in CA are hostage to an awful school system that is awful largely because state politicians dont care about making it any better. They could make it much better but they choose not to. And yet those same politicians claim African Americans are economically oppressed because of racism, not because 95 out of 100 get a horribly deficient education and therefore can’t compete in the job market or aren’t prepared for post-secondary education.
2. Those who destroyed commercial enterprises and looted indicated their motivation has nothing to do with Floyd. It was to get stuff for free. Watts never came back as a location for retail after that. The residents of Watts suffered so much from that, decade after decade.
3. The statue of George Greenleaf Whittier, one of the leading abolitionists of his day, and who wrote powerfully about freeing slaves, was vandalized in Whittier, CA. “Racist” and “BLM” painted over it. Media asked BLM organization in LA for a comment, they would not denounce it.
Personally, I view all of this ranging from remarkably sad (3) to being downright angry (1) and (2).

67 — You’re so right about California’s school system. [I want to add a qualification before I go on — some of the finest people I know teach or administer schools in California —I’m NOT talking about them —I’m talking about the propagandists who pose as teachers & corrupt teachers’ unions & opportunistic California politicians who are the falsest of false friends to students and teachers alike). When I was a law school dean I asked every incoming student to tell me the hardest thing they ever did in their life —whatever their answer I always told them “yeah, well this will be harder.” I pushed everybody to the limit in my Evidence and Constitutional Law classes & graded like a motherfucker—to the point students hated my guts. And the reason I did that is because I knew that my pretending they knew what they didn’t know was going to kill them on the California Bar Exam. Well, California grammar, middle and high schools are cheating their students by passing them along, pretending they know what they don’t know. It’s the path of least resistance —and the kids don’t realize they’ve been screwed til they hit the real world.

Michael, when you were practicing in Ca, did you have an opportunity to work with Judge Rolf Treu?
He was the judge on Vergara vs. CA, and equal protection lawsuit filed by a bunch of minority, really smart 8th graders who knew their schools sucked, and they weren’t going to take it anymore.
http://studentsmatter.org/case/vergara/
And if anyone here wants to think about racism and what holds back poor CA kids, read the link above.
Kamala Harris – who has said she tirelessly represents POC, filed an appeal on this lawsuit the day after Judge Treu’s decision.
Yep, Kamala Harris and the CA teacher unions, working hard to oppress young POC in CA. If you read about this case, it will sicken you to see just how awful POC are treated by the politicians who claim to represent them.

Michael, In the lawsuit, the trial Judge, who found for the kids on all 15 allegations, said “the evidence presented here about the educational that primarily poor and minority children are receiving is not only compelling, it chills me to the bone.”
And then the state AG, Kamala Harris is on the spot less than 24 hours later to do the bidding of the teacher unions and the rest of the state’s ruling party. And shame on Jerry Brown, gov at that time, who previously had run his own school for poor kids. He knew damn well he was dooming millions of children to a horrible education.
I would absolutely love it if social critics would focus on this crap and call out the fake friends of POC, the politicians who run CA. That is how stuff changes and life gets better.
