USC Announces Some Fall Policies

USC announced some of what the fall semester will look like.

The biggest decision is that all campus housing rooms will be single occupancy for the 2020/21 school year.

Classes held in person will be limited in size so that students can maintain 6 feet of physical distance during instruction. Lectures will probably be limited to 30-40 students.

Large social gatherings will be prohibited

A daily symptom check will be required each time you enter the campus and daily for students living in USC Housing. A system will generate a scannable code on your phone that is used to gain entry.

  1. …but, but, but it’s all a Democratic hoax and it’s going to disappear magically. We can just trust in President Trump because he’s a fundamentally honest and selfless person, and he would never give out bad information to the American people. As long as everyone at USC just takes Hydroxychloroquine and Zinc, everything will be fine. Talk about overkill… What the heck is USC thinking?

  2. Say what you will about Hillary Clinton, but if she was President right now, Vladimir Putin would have an American foot IN his ass instead of American lips ON it. Whether Donald Trump is witting or just a dupe (unfortunately, either is believable), he’s clearly a Russian asset. What an absolute disgrace to the Intelligence community and those within it who put their lives on the line to keep us safe.

I try to look at people and see how their attributes might be useful… With Trump, the best I could come up with is drink/golf buddy. The problem with that is that he doesn’t drink and he cheats at golf, even if you’re playing for money. I’ve never seen someone less suited to leadership in ANY venue and I can’t believe we elected this clown.

    1. I was a huge Hillary Clinton fan, Clay…. until I heard Madeline Albright ask rhetorically, in Hillary’s presence, “what’s the use of having the world’s most powerful military if we don’t use it?” Hillary beamed at the implications. Hillary encouraged Obama, with U. N cover, to invade Libya —a move that has left millions at the mercy of warring factions. When told Libya’s leader had been knife raped, she laughed. When Muslim Brotherhood candidate Morsi was yanked as the democratically elected President of Egypt, Hillary said sometimes “real” democracy has to be helped along by “intervention.” Morsi was, then, left to rot and die in prison.
Meanwhile the Clinton fortune grew obscenely, courtesy of their “Foundation.” The Clintons have enriched themselves at the expense of naive dreamers who listen to and believe their empty words …while ignoring the suffering they’ve caused.

Do you think you would have trouble finding people to loan you money? You may be carrying some debt, but do you think you would have problems finding someone to issue it?

Do you guys understand that if trump had done nothing other than buy a Certificate of Deposit (a very conservative investment vehicle) with some of the money his dad left him, he would be worth more than he probably is now? The Presidency has been lucrative for him, but he’s not as wealthy as he should be. For all his “deal-making” and bluster, he is an absolutely TERRIBLE businessman and has done nothing but wasted money and burned people his whole life. He’s not a competent administrator, he’s lazy, has no moral compass or ethics, and nobody else in the world would accept him as a leader. America is a laughingstock around the world because of the election of Donald Trump. The guy has never had to do a hard day’s work in his life, was born into wealth and contrary to what Conservatives could ever imagine, IS the absolutely worst kind of American. Further, he is hollowing out and “dumbing” down the American government and populace, perhaps beyond repair. We’ll be digging out of Trump’s hole for decades.

All these cities you curse are what is keeping your country competitive in the world. I’m happy you prefer the Alabama and Mississippi way, why don’t you move there?

Say what you will about what the American people want, they still recognize BS when they smell it and Trump is out of here in Nov. Having never had to really work for anything before, he’ll probably just quit when he sees the writing on the wall. He’s finished and the world is better for it.

      2. I think they are suffering from a lack of jobs (manufacturing and otherwise) because Baby Boomers (especially the conservatives ones) have spent their lifetimes chasing cheap labor around the planet to the detriment of their cities and the people in them. You lose your tax base when you do that. In turn, you also lose the ability to educate the populace in a way that prepares them for the future job market.

See, I would agree with Conservatives about making America great again, but there’s a big difference. The America I would want to return to is the one in which you could raise a family on a single income so that someone could actually afford to stay home and raise children (I don’t care which spouse, although society still does.). The America the MAGA crowd wants to return to is the one in which there were fewer Mexicans, women knew their place and it was impossible for a black man to be elected president.

I’m someone who is “gettable” for the Repubs, but they see themselves losing the popular vote by millions already and they just can’t afford to let go of the “Jews will not replace us” crowd. That’s why they are going to end up on the trash heap of history. they would frantically, fanatically, frenetically stand in the way of a tidal wave instead of trying to figure out a way to ride it. They are Luddites and will suffer the same fate.

Former Gov. David Paterson: Cuomo should own up to nursing home mistake
Just who’s to blame for the more than 6,200 coronavirus-linked deaths in New York nursing homes remains a touchy subject for Gov. Andrew Cuomo — who on Wednesday made the wild claim that COVID-19 patients sent to the facilities were “probably no longer contagious.”

  30. May 9, 2020: Although many states have yet to meet the minimum requirements for reopening based on the White House’s guidelines, Trump continues to push for the reopening of nonessential businesses, using the slogan “TRANSITION TO GREATNESS!”

    May 10, 2020 Donald Trump:

“We are getting great marks for the handling of the CoronaVirus pandemic, especially the very early BAN of people from China, the infectious source, entering the USA. Compare that to the Obama/Sleepy Joe disaster known as H1N1 Swine Flu. Poor marks, bad polls – didn’t have a clue!”

    1. In response to questions from The Post at his daily briefing in Albany, Governor Andrew Cuomo denied that his administration spread the virus through its controversial decision to send hospitalized coronavirus patients to nursing homes as the pandemic raged.

He also downplayed, without presenting any evidence, the impact of sending an estimated 4,500-plus COVID-19 patients to nursing homes under the March 25 order.

“We have met the moment and we have prevailed,” Trump says at the White House, as COVID-19 deaths go over 80,000.

Previously his son-in-law Jared Kushner said the administration’s response was a “great success story.” At that point deaths were at 58,000.

    1. Cuomo refused to say who specifically advised him and Health Commissioner Howard Zucker to adopt the controversial directive, which Cuomo largely rescinded last month under withering criticism as nursing home deaths mounted.

More than 6,200 nursing home residents are confirmed or suspected to have been killed by COVID-19 since March 1, according to official state figures.

    1. Biden says January travel ban on Red China is xenophobic.
Biden posted a tweet on Feb. 1, the day after the Trump administration announced travel restrictions on people who were in China 14 days prior to their attempted entry into the United States.

Biden tweeted: “We are in the midst of a crisis with the coronavirus. We need to lead the way with science — not Donald Trump’s record of hysteria, xenophobia, and fear-mongering. He is the worst possible person to lead our country through a global health emergency.”
