Thanks, Enfield!

USC won but I’m still giving this game a “Thanks, Enfield!”

USC was a 19-point favorite over Cal Baptist and had to score the last five points of regulation just to send the game to OT. Seriously.

USC won, 95-87, as Evan Mobley scored 21 points, including six in OT. Tahj Eaddy added 18 points.

It’s basketball season!

    1. Jeez, was it the frosh-soph ruin team that lost? You can’t be telling me that the ruin varsity squad lost to SD State. I mean, that just couldn’t happen. Could it?

      1. Michael, their decision to fire Howland was the first domino. Then there was the Louis Vuitton debacle where owns’ special hero Trump had to extricate, as only POTUS could put it, “the knuckleheads” from China. Now, they lose to SD State. The dominoes just keep falling.

      2. Remember, men’s basketball is the one sport that OWNS ruins are supposed to dominate.

        BWWWWWWWWWWWWWWAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

      3. owns, the bruins aren’t hiring the right coaches, and the school – the administration and students – just don’t care much. Their priorities are elsewhere. Tough to overcome those challenges. It starts at the top, and there is not much energy at ucla’s top admin level.

      4. The ruins need to go the University of Chicago route and end the football program and drop down to NCAA Division III where they might have more success.

      5. The brubabies are now paying for the Sam Gilbert years. It wasn’t a good idea to bring organized crime into the bruin family…

    2. The Trojans stunk up the empty Galen Ctr. more than the ‘ruins.
SD St. is a very decent team. Enfield is crap time after time. He
can’t recruit more than one top player who stays only one year.
They will lose every true road game in the conference.

      1. I’m sorry, but didn’t he coach the Trojans to victory twice over the ruins. And just for perspective, aren’t we a young team with many new guys who just played their first game together? Hmmm, now if they could just shoot their damn free throws.

To My Friend, Owns —it took guts to post what you posted. Nice display of bruin grit (maybe you can sell some of it to the bruin coaches & players)….

  1. I knew Cal Baptist was going to bring it this year. The article in the pulp fiction delivered to my lawn as much as said so. And my friends who have attended the school have major identity problems. (Never ask the pastor what association has accredited his school.)
The next Christian college with something to prove is Grand Canyon University. (It started on a matchbook cover as a hole in the desert to throw your money in. )
Anyway why is a win a win if we can’t bitch about how we won?
Happy Thanksgiving to the club Scott and our loyal trolls which keep us thankful we are not Ursine in nature.

Happy Thanks giving dad (RT) and all the other Trojan faithful. And to the trolls who have taught us you can like people of other religions.

      1. Actually, Michael, it might be easier to like people from other planets, because if they are evolved enough to be able to reach earth, then they’re undoubtedly above prejudices of any type.

And thanks MG for showing us that one can be poignant, light-hearted, and non-hostile all at the same time.

      1. It is good they have contained it to 7 players. Of the 5 identified through contact tracing, is there any chance they play on Saturday if they continue to test negative?

      2. We’re likely —outta an abundance of caution—to be down more guys than is absolutely medically necessary on Saturday, 67 —hopefully, we don’t get into another nail biter where we need all hands on deck…
[Have to say for the kind of extra-athletics stuff we’re dealing with this year, Helton is a good person to be in charge….he’s meticulous about following protocols]…..

      2. gt —nobody knows whether or not the state legislatures or the supreme court have the balls to do their job —but there now exists more than enough evidence to overturn the votes in every swing state …. if that happens, a lot of people will be bitterly disappointed cuz the mainstream media has been hiding so much from them….
