Rose And Fiesta Bowls Announce Fan Policies

The Fiesta Bowl said this afternoon it would allow immediate families of players to attend its game. This could affect USC, if it wins the Pac-12 title.

However, the Rose Bowl will not allow any fans. No impact for USC here since the Rose Bowl is a College Football Playoff semifinal game.

Statement: “The Tournament of Roses requested special permission to allow for a limited number of spectators or a select number of student-athlete and coach guests at the 2021 Rose Bowl Game. The request was denied based on state and county guidelines related to COVID-19 and LA County’s Tier 1 status.”

  1. Another moronic decision by county and state officials. There is no scientific evidence to prove that a few hundred people in a space designed to hold 90,000 would be any more dangerous than having a watching party at home. I would really upset if I thought USC had a chance of playing in a bowl game.
Honestly I think we should hope for game played in a non communist country like Texas, where spectators are allowed.
