Klete Keller Charged In Capitol Riot

Former USC swimmer Klete Keller was charged with knowingly entering or remaining in a restricted building, disorderly conduct in the Capitol building and impeding law enforcement after video emerged of him in the Rotunda during last week’s riot.

Keller, 38, was a Pac-10 and NCAA champion at USC. He won a relay gold medals at the 2004 Olympics and 2008 Olympics.

  2. OK, they broke a few windows and turned over some furniture. So prosecute them. But how about the rioters that burnt down cities and even took over cities(Seattle)and declared them to not be part of the USA anymore. Why didn’t they prosecute them. They arrested a few people, took them down to the police station(if the rioters hadn’t already burnt down the police station)and held them for a couple of hours and let them go. The laws nowadays are not for the rich and not for the people on the left. They are above the law.

      1. The justice system should exhibit evenhandedness. That is the essence of justice. ANYONE who commits vandalism, disobeys a lawful order, or commits battery should be tried for their crime. You’d have to be fairly lame to think that the laws in this country are being applied evenly these days.
        I come from a country that had a leader in the last century (a fellow named Mussolini) who disenfranchised the opposing party (the socialist party), launched an extermination plan against certain nationalities (most notably, the Slovenians), took over the banks and prevented them from loaning money to people he disapproved of and usurped the powers of the courts (by creating special courts). Anyone who can’t see that this is where the so called democrat party is heading is pretty lame. We are about to enter a period (which hopefully won’t last too long) wherein all opposition to prevailing dem thought is criminalized. That is not justice….

      1. No body should go after public officials and invade the capitol with the intent of killing them and if you feel that is ok, shame on you. They beat police and disrupted the congress and said things like hanging pence and lynching Pelosi. Also killed the police and invaded the building by occupying their offices and destroying documents and were intent upon kidnapping congress people. And, your justification is: others did something similar, not the same but similar. It is like it is ok for joe to murder because sam did it. That is both poor thinking and immoral. Come on!

    You know that you guys here ( you, Pasadena, Rialto, Bourbon, Pudly and even Cal ) are some of my favorite Republicans. I agree with very little that Conservatives fight for politically, but it doesn’t mean that I don’t respect your point of view and haven’t learned a lot from what you guys preach.

      Regrettably, the Greenies see Socialism as their answer, so I’ll have to dump them in the (water free) composting commode.

      I love to watch peaceful demonstration break out in America.
      The Summer of Riots and Capitol Riots were both beyond repulsive for me.
      A great teammate of mine (who survived High School in Compton) at USC taught me about BLM in 1982. I’ve been ahead of this stuff for decades.
