USC Morning Buzz: Tickets Available!

It is Thursday and USC still has tickets available in three sections for Saturday’s scrimmage at the Coliseum.

No fans since 2019 and still tickets available and only 5000 are allowed to attend?

I’m sure most of you are not surprised by this fact.

      1. Just woke up — had some coffee. Read the Findings. Must say they didn’t quite add up to the “Tick, Tick, Tick —Death Penalty!” some of our dear friends on this blog were predicting….

    1. USC hoops will NOT face a postseason ban from the NCAA. It will face two years of probation and a $5,000 fine, in addition to the self-imposed penalties it previously prescribed.

      1. Well, I guess being transparent has its rewards, but honestly it’s easier to be transparent when they’re not lined up at your door with torches and pitchforks….

      2. Scottie could go on a 2 day bender after hearing this good news…he may need to turn the “Inside USC” reins over to Pudly, Michael, et. al. for the time being. We would get practice updates that way. And there would be no more hot tub photos of the interloper.

      3. Part of me hopes Scott will go on a brief hiatus, 67 …. and that we, heroically, have to take up the slack….it might give me a chance to win Bobby back….

  2. There are a lot of people who are still fearful of getting out in public. I go to a church that regularly had 2,500 in attendance prior to covid. Now, even after the vaccine has been widely distributed and restrictions reduced, there is only around 900 or so on a weekend. People are still waiting it out. Maybe a practice game, to them, is not worth risking your life.

  3. Why attend the spring game when it is going to once again look like a flag football game with a bunch of receivers running around with no hitting?

Why support the USC football program with all the terrible decisions they have made lately on the head coach, and within the entire athletic program.

Let them eat bread and starve until the right decision is made.

    1. I’m grateful for your wonderful & insightful post. I agree with your sentiments exactly. I’m happy that I found a new intelligent person to follow on this blog. Tommy you’re #6 in the new “ Bobby Poll” when it comes time to decide between compassion vs stupidity to remain on the path to righteousness certain acts can prove that stupidity TRUMPS compassion. 4. Nobody wants to risk their health to go to a spring scrimmage. Low-hanging fruit Scott to criticize USC for not making available something thsg few are interested in.

    1. The fact they only became available this week might have something to do with it… people that wanted out of their homes probably already had plans to travel or visit. I know we did, and with the scrimmage televised it made my decision easier.

      1. Boy! Are you wrong, karma. Anybody who attends that Spring Game game —with fans socially distanced from one another by 35 feet —-in the open air and sunshine —- will die within 15 minutes…… just like all the other people who’ve been attending professional sports events for the last several months….

      2. …’scuse me, BK
Started back in the go-go ’60’s and 70’s when I was in the So Cal School district. Newsome just (less-than) graciously took the baton and took the brainwashing to a higher level.

Smart people left California back in the 80’s/early 90’s (had nothing to do with the two big earthquakes).

        Great place to visit, however.

  5. Text went out to a group of about 30 Trojan fans we know and not a single person is going to this USC Trojan pillow fight spring football charade featuring the 3rd rate at best head coach Clay Helton running this scam.

    LMFAO!

OH MY SIDE HURTS FROM LAUGHING SO MUCH!

AHA HA HA HA HA HA HA!

  6. Let the USC football program, athletic director, and carol folt” eat bread” just like Marie Antonettte said during the French revolution. USC fans should rebel against the “status quo” decision by the administration, and board of trustees.

No one should spend money on this football program until the change is made. If we starve them out Helton, Bohn, and Princess Folt will be let go. The football program is alot more important to the future of USC then they once thought, and as the revenue continues to drop at the university they will have to come to the reality that change is immediately necessary.

Still Fight On for the next year, but rather than attending just observe as an outsider looking in until the bomb hits that will turn this university back in the right direction.

Speaking of health attending this game or even watching this game on TV is also not advised based on how far this program has slipped under Helton. Spring games use to be entertaining not any more especially if USC is running this awful air raid offense, and trying to raise needed money at our expense.

  7. The same……the fans and boosters make USC not Helton, Bonehead, and Folt. Keep feeding them bread, continue to boycott the games, and the desert will soon arrive.

  8. I joked yesterday that I would be washing my hair on Saturday, but those who know me, know I can wash what’s left of my hair with a washcloth. The actual reason is simple.
I attended the first “Spring Game” under Helton. I remember it well. The band came out, the crowd was sparse but very Trojan and then nothing. It was like watching a practice without much hitting or real plays. One thing I do remember was that the number one quarterback wasn’t getting anywhere with his offense, but we chalked that up to the old saw that the defense is always ahead of the offense. However when the first embarrassment- I mean game came along, it was clear neither unit was ready for college football.
So I see no reason to shell out $20 for what amounts to a poorly managed group meeting among football players. If I want to see that I can go to any high school and watch. Until Helton is gone the spring game will be referred to as the “Spring Fling”

  10. Just asking for a friend, but what was the final score of the SUCC vs Gonzaga Elite Eight tournament game? Just like clock work, every 20 years, the bozo’s make the Elite Eight.

    #UCLA knocks off #1Clown U WP 7-6, in SUCC’s own dirty pool, to win the 2021 NC – #119.

Tell your friend that USC ran all of the fight out of the Zags. But don’t mention the unchallenged last play of the the Ucla game, your friend might burn another couch.

      2. Rialto, good detective work re: owns and “hairy axel”, the porn worker. Who would have known about that…except for owns.

Guys and gals, Isn’t it time to get “Inside USC” back on track with some type of content outside of (i) owns and hairy axel, (ii) Tebow and NASA conspiracy stories, and (iii) “the story that won’t die” of the hot tub guy?

Who’s with me!?! To get the ball rolling, here is some video of 2021 RB recruit Brandon Campbell, BEFORE he spent the last year exclusively working on strength and speed:
