USC Saturday Buzz: It’s Game Day!

The spring game is today. Hurray!

You have two options: Buy a ticket or watch on the Pac-12 Network at 1 p.m. JB Long and Yogi Roth are the announcers, which means you won’t hear any criticisms.

  • The USC baseball team courageously offered a statement of support Friday for the women’s soccer team not getting the chance to host as many fans as the spring football scrimmage at the Coliseum.

I wonder if the baseball team’s actions were at all motivated by the USC administration’s decision to suspend seven players for going to a local casino, which breached the athletic dept. COVID-19 protocols.

The baseball players might have been upset and this was great chance to exact revenge.

  1. Scooter,

Did you know that the baseball team last night came from behind and beat the oregon peking ducks, 9-5. ducks were ahead 4-2, then SC came back with four runs.

  2. I don’t think revenge had anything to do with it.

The ball players simply sympathized with their fellow Ladies of Troy and stood with them.

  3. I’m calling it now, Helton will huff and puff and say that they are very close to a national championship, players are just excellent, he loves all his players, he wants to get the ball to the wide outs, the run game will be very much improved, and Slovis is the man. At the end of the season, the Trojans will be 8-5.

      1. The Trojan players look about as enthused as the Redondo Union high school football players were last night when Mira Costa whipped their ass 35 – 14.

      1. And what’s especially nice? I don’t think there’s a Pac 12 South team that coulda stopped it.

  4. With Yogi there, you won’t hear much criticisms nor will you hear much about the game. You’ll hear a lot about Yogi’s human interest stories, most of which has nothing to do with the current USC football game.
