NBC will televise the USC-Notre Dame game at 4:30 p.m. PT on Oct. 23, the first game of the season with a kickoff time.
Will the USC-Notre Dame game in South Bend ever be a day game again?
For decades it was at 1:30 p.m. CT, a Notre Dame tradition. But then NBC stepped in 10 years ago and it’s never been the same since. Always a night game.
Drew Brees will be the new analyst for Notre Dame games on NBC this season.

Owns…….We’ve won our bowl game two years straight now.
Klovis true freshman year at the Coliseum and then the comeback at the Rose Bowl this past season.
Right now our bowl game has become the Bruin game for Heltons era.

Is Helton going to be there? If so, USC loses by 25 points. His air burp offense does not work. Everything has to be on timing. Once slip or minute miss turn blows the play up. if you run between the guard/tackle/tigthend/slot/center, then timing will not be a factor. You just hand off the ball and get out of the way. But SC does not have the oline to do that. Keystone cops are more competent. I went in 2005 and everyone should go just to see the place. It is beautiful. I won’t go again with helton in charge

I’m a traditionalist. College football should be played during the daytime, outdoors, on a natural turf field.
And these kickoff times are ridiculous, as well as how long it takes to play 60 minutes of football. When I attended SC, the games normally kicked off at 1:30 (sometimes 12:30) and were almost always done by 4 or 4:15.

I remember those days. I used to go to the SC games that started aty 12:30 -1:00 pm time and afte the game I was able to get back to Pasadena and go to Mass at Assumption Parish at 5:00 P.M.

Blow out……..Notre Dame is a physical football team. ND 42 – SC -14. Slovis get sacked in the 1st qtr, and USC is forced to use two freshman quarterbacks. ND has lineman made of steel, our offensive line is made of flubber and silly putty. Sadly, even Gumby could start on our offensive line.
Definitely Clay Helton last trip to South Bend, and probably his last game.
Never had a USC team where I did not have hope we could beat ND.

ND- 57 USC 14. The Notre Dame defensive line sacks Sloves 6 times, and knocks the Trojan QB out of the game in the 3rd. Clay Helton yells “Retreat” at halftime, and the air raid offense fails again in the 2nd half.
The ND lineman are made of steel. Even “Gumby” the skinny green cartoon character would start on our offensive line.
After the game Clay Helton declares ” We still have a chance for a great season if we win next Saturday which would put us in a tie for 3rd place in the Pac 12 South.

Bottom line a great season for Clay Helton is not how many wins the team has but rather how many deposits were successfully made into his checking account.
The guy have never won many games wherever he has been.—Auburn, University of Houston, Memphis, and now USC.

No way USC wins the South— ASU, and Utah are better, and UCLA will be right there with an experienced QB. My thinking is USC’s defense will be better, but I just have a feeling USC will at some point have to turn to two freshman quarterbacks if Slovis goes down, and that is not a formula for success. ASU, UCLA, and UTAH will have tough defenses, and better running games than USC .
If true Helton will be gone.
