  1. Sounds like a bunch of b.s. too me or was it his family didn’t get enough of an opportunity to drive up the price to get Paid for his services from another university. Let’s blame covid for everything now. Including not taking responsibility for my own actions when making a conscious decision about the future. Another prima Donna using USC to further there college choices. Nobody told this kid to enroll early that was his choice he could of waited. Thanks for wasting a spot that could of went to a more deserving player.

  2. Childhood dream school…all A’s in classes…worked his way into playing significant minutes as a frosh… just doesn’t add up IMHO.

    1. Thank you, Trojan 67 something doesn’t add up unless his family is trying to get paid. Let’s see where he transfers too next. He’s trying to use the covid pandemic as an excuse to weasel out of his commitment and not sit out a year. Like I said no body told him to enroll early he could of waited. Because of that he should have to sit out a year. Tired of the nonsense that’s been going on lately with commits, especially the way Toia did it.

  3. It seems Toia is politely asserting SUCC Succs. No argument here.

Toia is achieving his departure with much more class than Bru McCoy, McCoy’s mom and dad and the McCoy attorney did.

    Deal with it Clownster’s.

    1. After seeing Jaelan Phillips path to the draft through sow and on to miamah then going in the first round, perhaps you’re right.
Other than Phillips, it’s been a while since the ruins produced a first round draft choice.

It’s the sow 2 yr plan, play as a freshman, retire as a sophomore, transfer to miamah.

  4. Had everyone come back this year, includung Tufele and Tuipulotu, they could have had one of the best D-Lines in the country. It would have been one of the major strengths of this team. Now it’s one of the weaknesses.

    1. Great players leaving their ‘dream team.’ If I didn’t know better I’d say it was the head coach…….

      1. It’s a fact of life players all over the country leave teams cuz they imagine they’re having some kind of “personality conflict” with the coach [and many go elsewhere and fit in just fine]. What hurts USC is the fact Helton isn’t ANYONE’S idea of a dream coach. No one comes to USC to play for Coach Helton. He’s the challenge every recruit has to look in the face if they wanna play for USC. At some point players simultaneously reach their saturation point with lack of leadership. Bohn thinks he can hold this great program together with bubblegum for another season— but the seams are starting to show. Does this mean we’ll have a terrible season? I DON’T think so. I think we have enough offensive talent, barring injury, to get back to the Pac 12 Championship game.

  5. I don’t know anything about the situation. After reading his statement and knowing he comes from the area so its not home sickness. We are the best academic institution he mentioned earlier. He has received A’s. My Take is:
If I don’t start……I’am out of here…..and a fuck you to you coach.
    No explanations necessary.
Its the kid that will evaluate his skills. Not the coach…..free agency.
Sopsher is going to start?……a guy that got kicked from bama……a guy having surgery……a guy that is not here for spring…..a guy that could not beat out two freshman NT’s that were lower rated……screw you coach.
Helton….the coach that starts centers that can’t play center (and loses at least two games directly due to the center position) over a highly rated freshmen/sophmore because he obviously made a promise …….probably made a promise to Sopsher and it leaked to Toia.
Of course this might be crap……but it fits like an expensive glove.

      1. It would be one thing if a top 5 program was wooing him. But ucla? His family is in critical need of an adviser to help sort this out.

  6. I see in my crystal conspiracy ball other schools influencing the parents into strongly suggesting their gold mine son enter the portal so they could reopen recruitment. Once spring ball was over and the kid established himself, other schools out coached us again.
This is the reason Helton has to go. He has been out coached sitting in his office.

  7. Mr. Toia
Football is a team sport based on units (O line, D line, etc). You want to play with Korey Foreman, Drake, etc. or 2 and 3 stars somewhere else? SC got the message: you aren’t going to sit out a year or merely play four games and lose a year before NFL. The Texas coaches have brought more competitiveness and toughness, even if perceived that they are promising Texas players a starting spot. You will need more than luck but you apparently have that more factor already. Best of luck with your decision
