USC-Utah Live Blog

This game is offically a joke. Fans are leaving.

Hey, it’s looking a lot like Stanford and Oregon State!

Drake London does it himself for the TD.

USC defense does not tackle well or contain edge.

Kedon Slovis just does not impress even though I heard on pre-game show he is the best deep passer in nation per stats. A good reason to not trust stats.

At least one gate at the Coliseum today wasn’t even requiring an ID to match the vaccination card.

Coach Bohn down on field with QBs during their warmups? He really is a coach.

      1. Hey MG, there nobody at the crumbling mausoleum and, I was wrong, Utah isn’t going to rollover for SUCC this year.

Utah 7 – SUCC 3 – Utah drive was damn impressive. They just mugged the bozo defense.

      2. Well look who the (Wild)cat drug in! Have to use that line now as I suspect it won’t have much punch by the middle of the first quarter of that game…here, an actual attempt to run the ball…and with some success…150-80 total yards…it’s not over yet…

      3. It’s from an old Super Bowl commercial where some kid walks in to an office and goes into his and says that. Then somebody goes to him for computer help and he says “can’t on my break.” I’m pretty sure it was an Online Brokerage advert.

      4. We need someone to deliver the “it’s not over” line every Saturday till end of the season —after the first series — whether we’re ahead or not…

      5. See Owns…it’s not over…it’s not certain…but not over…decent chance of winning (and what on Earth has gotten into Harrell…is he actually learning that running for more than show is not only allowed, but advisable? that it can open up the passing game? would serve him well when looking for his next gig)…

      6. Now Owns needs to let me and the program have it…this is about equivalent to the Bama and Ohio State beatdowns in terms of “in the valley of the shadow of…”

I would like to ask at this point what all the creepy press hypocrites who defended Helton have to say (especially Herbstreit – he bothered me more than anyone else in his “please keep the suck that sucks worse than the suck before the suck so that Ohio can say at some point after Lynn Swann played for them the Buckeyes were able to beat USC…albeit after they had become the SUCC” as Owns would say.

      2. Oh no, Slowvis is trash. Everything about the kid. As a player he is weak armed, slow-footed, and locks on one receiver who he stares down usually. His best / only pass is the jump ball to one of the stallions USC has as a receiver each year then act as if it was him.

He and the parents hyped being able to have an NFL overachieving great to sell that he was gonna be the same, and the crap coaches– Harrell in particular, sold JT down the river and embraced Slowvis to try to put the blame on JT.

Slowvis then took it all a step further with his over-the-top BLM, Woke, SJW, etc. pandering, and it was so fake it still didn’t get him named team captain as a returning starting upperclassman QB– because he’s fake and not a leader. He’s just our Josh Rosen, only less talented.

    1. Wait a minute MG, Kid Porcelain goes to Clown U.

To paraphrase P.T Barnum, there’s always an NFL Gen. Mgr. SUCCer willing to waste millions on a bozo garbage QB.

    1. You would think he would have been on the 1983 team (that humiliated Tollner & Co. at the Coliseum)… that would at least give him plausible cover for trying to act as if the state of the program is a problem…

      1. Prior to Clay, it was the lowest of the lows in modern times…Clay obliterated that on multiple occasions…but still a dark day (although to be fair, the ‘hawks had a habit in those days…the next year they gave OU its only regular season loss, thrashing Troy Aikman). Well, guess that was then, and this is now…and ugly is ugly…and we are ugly…better make a great hire with full commitment…

  1. Kyle Whittingham has been coaching at Utah since 2005 … since Urban Meyer left to go to Florida. I’ve been talking him up for years, though he’s not in my Top 5 now. He does develop players … USC not so much lately.

    1. Me too. I’ve long thought SC, had they made him a hire back then would have notched at least a few NC runs. Kinda funny bc he got our championship era OC, who did well by them for a brief period, could have been at SC instead.

Our criteria these days isn’t about what’s good in terms of fit, but how to be dramatic.

  2. I will always remember (& love) the announcer saying that “some guys play checkers but Orlando plays chess” right before Orlando’s defense gives up a long TD!

  3. Defense? What defense? Missed tackle after missed tackle. Overpursuit after overpursuit. That last TD pass, OMG, what the F was that coverage?

And Harrell? Slovis continues to hold the ball way too long, and he misses open receivers on about every other play. Harrell has had over a year to figure this out.

Guess these guys will be getting those federal supplemental unemployment checks in January.

    1. I can ‘t disagree with one word. Worst unit is the one coached by Donte.
Slovis is a loser. Dart must be in bad shape to keep him in the game at this point.

      2. I’ve been here with this crew arguing for Helton to be fired or let go since the fool’s gold Rose Bowl…it was so blatantly obvious how terrible he was…so no argument with you…I was just commenting that as I see this, everything about this season is just an extension of what Helton’s tenure has wrought…

    1. Fire Mike Bohn! How could he not see how absolutely and wholly the whole football program is? He threw millions at Harrell, Orlando, and Williams and this is what he got for that money.

    2. I took almost all last year off…and most of this one…seems like that is the wiser course…until/unless/ifever…think a good point of reference is that it was what, just 2-3 years ago that Fink came off the bench to lead an upset over a better Ute team…and that USC team looks vintage compared to this…

      1. This team is tied for the worst Trojan team I’ve ever watched….
It isn’t right that Folt or Bohn have jobs after nixing Urban Meyer —it was a decision that ended up screwing all 3 of them.

      2. As alluded to in exchange with ’67, worst team prior to this was the 1983 team (maybe 1991 along with it)…but the non-Sam Helton era has just been putrid…aside from that afternoon in Seattle and the fool’s gold Rose Bowl, it has been a Mordor-like wasteland.

  7. I’ve been after Helton since he went with Max Browne over Darnold. The only thing that’s kept USC from looking like this was Darnold. Then they had the JT Daniels Chuck and duck shit season. Then JT gets hurt and Helton gets saved by the Slovis who is the all conference QB / Offensive MVP 2 years in a row. But Slovis getting concussed and his elbow/ shoulder turned into hamburger meat leave us where we are now. All the shit was masked by 2 generational QBs and the second one broke.

  8. Nixon, Ingram (compared with Texas current rb), Washington (they say another Adoree ha), Sopsher, Orlando, Smith etc are all players and coaches others don’t want including injured and can’t play we take them all. No wonder shithead Hellton is beloved. When Slovis suck so bad why don’t they put another qb in like Oklahoma what is there to lose

  10. That girl Slovis is terrified about getting hit. Football is not for her, she needs to hang ’em up and let Miller Moss show what he can do.

Slovis is so fragile and afraid, no way she gets drafted.

  11. I’ve watched for years with fans being as horrible as Bohn / Swann/ Haden and their cast of clown coaches. Anyone with sense could see it.

The excuse for the fans who by majority, or at least noise, supported all of the poop coaches and screamed everyone else down? The fans did it for free? Bohn / Swan /Haden got money for it. I dunno… But a lot of fans should reflect on how they gave crappiness support and cover. Maybe they won’t make it so easy this time.

    Speaking of, Franklin lost. lol

  16. We all agree that Gomer should have been fired after the pathetic performance against tOSU in the Fiesta Bowl in Sam’s last game. I’m still waiting for Bohn’s apology to the Trojan Nation for keeping Gomer when everyone saw he was NOT even a mediocre coach. Pathetic!!! I hope Bohner looks closely in the mirror when he goes to bed tonight and looks for the culpable one for the 3rd straight dumpster fire at the Coliseum
