USC Morning Buzz: Of Course Another Jaxson Dart Update

There are reports in Mississippi that Jaxson Dart will commit to the Rebels in the next couple days. We shall see.

If Dart wants to play this season, Mississippi is probably the right move.

  • Former USC offensive lineman Tim Drevno is reportedly the top candidate to become the offensive line coach at UCLA per Bruin Report Online.
  • Former Oregon wide receiver Mycah Pittman, the younger brother of Michael Pittman, is at Florida State.
  • Yesterday was Martin Luther King Day.

  1. I hope we can just celebrate MLK’s life for the rest of this week without either party putting words into his mouth or claiming him as ‘theirs’ or telling us he’s behind some bill being debated…..

    1. One of the many versions of California’s ethnic studies curriculum failed to include MLK as a role model, but did include those who had been convicted of killing cops and are now living in Cuba. SMDH.

  2. Jerry Rice’s son (WR) is likely to transfer to USC. Hope the acorn didn’t fall far.

    With Drevno at UCLA, fat chance of them getting a good QB through the portal.

    3. Where has he transferred from 67? I haven’t kept up on him at all. Hopefully we will get some glimpses of his dad at USC, true legend and hall of famer. Jerry Rice Sr.

    5. I’m not sure if Brendan Rice’s lack of production was due to a marginal coach and/or OC (Karl D et al), VERY POOR QB play, not-so-hot O-line work, or a lack of skill by the WR. Anyway, hopefully Riles et al can bring Brendan to his full potential. All of CU’s offensive skill players are bolting.

  4. Watching Dart at Ole Miss might be pretty exciting. I have been watching JT Daniels career at Georgia and very disappointed he didnt get to play more there and now very excited to see Dart do well at his next college. All I care about is that they are not going to either Oregon or UCLA. We need to remember that it is NOT the fault of the players for leaving, it was the wreckage coming from Clay Helton.

    1. Ya Game, the left over curse of Clay Helton is slowly being lifted, but it sure was a lot greater than what we first imagined. It is like USC football doesn’t just need to be rebuilt but almost reinvented.

  5. Rumor I just started has Miller Moss’ parents trying to get a lucrative NIL Deal set up for Caleb Williams.. somewhere other than USC. Just saying.

  6. MLK would turn over in his grave if he could see how the dems and left wing media are using his name to promote things that he was not for. Never in his wildest dreams did he ever think that anyone would take his Civil Rights Act(which was supposed to apply to race) and use it to apply to LBGTQ+ groups and gender and sexual orientation. MLK was asked one time what he thought about a certain individual who was gay. He showed compassion and answered that he needed psychological help. Also, CRT was exactly the opposite of what MLK taught. CRT was what Malcolm X taught and Malcolm X and MLK never saw eye to eye. Malcolm X thought of MLK as a compromiser.
