USC Morning Buzz: Jayden Daniels Enters Transfer Portal

The meltdown continues at Arizona State as QB Jayden Daniels entered the transfer portal.

The Sun Devils backed off Spencer Rattler earlier because Daniels was expected to stay.

Maybe they can get JT Daniels and go from Jayden Daniels to JT Daniels.

ASU’s top returning QB is sophomore Trenton Bourquet.

It’s a mess.

    1. Jayden Daniels is slightly overrated, and probably should’ve stayed under the tutelage of Herm Edwards. Because where ever he ends up, the new coaching staff won’t put a emphasis on his talents like Edwards and staff did.

  1. Not surprising ….but where in the Pac 12 will he end up.. I have a feeling it will be Oregon even though they already have the Auburn QB transfer in school. Might be Washington or Cal also. Miami might take him since Coach Mario knows how good he is.

If we did not have Caleb I would say SC should go after him, but not now.

Arizona St. went from a strong contender in 2022 to what is now a disaster. Utah, and USC are the favorites to win it all this year in the Pac 12 with Oregon, Oregon State, and maybe UCLA as contenders.

    1. Here’s the really cool part: What happened to Arizona State won’t happen to USC going forward. The changing landscape of college football makes it completely unnecessary for us to pay players —they’ll come to USC to profiteer on our brand.

      1. In the Southeastern Conference they are already screaming and crying that we have an unfair advantage because of Hollywood. I love to listen to them whine and whine.

      2. Not so sure about that, MG. What is the story with Texas A&M for example.

And sucla will not be dropping football. Maybe they should move back in to the Coliseum.

  2. UCLA pays rent at the Rose Bowl, and I hear they are behind on the rent. The Rose Bowl has other options, and might evict the Bruins can you blame them no one goes to their games, and the football team has not been to a major bowl game in over twenty years.

    1. ucla can play their football games at their practice field once they are evicted from the RB. Oh, wait a minute, practice field is only 80 yards long. Whoopsie!

      1. I hear the UCLA Athletic Department is begging the governor for an Executive Order stipulating that, in Westwood, 4 inches is 9 inches and 80 yards is 100 hundred yards….

    2. ….It’s said UCLA football inspired the phrase “more to be pitied than censured”….

    3. tommyd,

I was listening to Rodger Lodge on KLAA 830 AM and some caller called and said that SOFI would be a great place for ugly to play there. Rodger, the ruin honk that he is, said yes. I called him and told him that it would be a bad ide and he asked why and I told him that ugly could not even fill up a high school football stand with fans. He said that ugly does have a problem drawing fans. Ya think?

    1. Jayden Daniels to SD State? That’s where herm and issac curtis flew off to when they couldn’t cut the mustard in ’73.
With herm, history doesn’t repeat but it sure rhymes.

    1. No, FU, the USC football disaster already occurred, and it was
a Ton-o-Hel for 7 long years, let me tell you.

But SC football will now do to sucla what the Trojan basketball team has been doing to sucla for years now. In your vernacular one might say
      SC is f—king over sucla.

  4. Where the hell is OWNS? Was he evicted also! The good news is he was not evicted from this site since it is “free” so I am surprised we don’t have many more Bruin fans like OWNS on this site, but then again they now all know this is USC’s town.

  5. Maybe Owns died. If he did we would never know about it unless he mentioned us in his Will, such as:

“I wish this to be published — That I bequeath all my insults to the SC bunch on the Wolf blog, and my final words to them are that I am disappointed I will not be able to spit on their grave, which has become a sucla tradition.”

    1. John –I’m sure Owns is alive…. but he’s tricking us into thinking otherwise…so we’ll be amazed and excited when he “returns”….

    1. You can’t be a player and not hear things… the mood at Arizona State is bleak ….kinda like the mood at USC after Helton got blown out at the Coli by the worst Stanford team in the last 12 years …only worse…

  6. OWNS– PLEASE COME OUT FROM HIDING. There is more to life than UCLA athletics. Your athletic program is going down the tubes, and we miss your creative thinking when it comes to USC athletics. Things are now so dominant on our side we are actually beginning to feel sorry for you. Have you finally thrown out the white flag without telling anyone?

  7. When / if OWNS comes back, I’d like him to explain his frequent references to “The crumbling mausoleum” when the L.A. Coliseum has gone through a 315 million dollar refurb. The place is absolutely plush throughout.See the video, OWNS.Plenty of room for you on those aluminum bleacher seats at the RB though.OWN it, OWNS. #Envy.
