I hear USC is mulling whether to offer North Texas offensive tackle Jacob Brammer, who is in the transfer portal.
Brammer has offers from Vanderbilt, Indiana, Duke and Tulsa. USC would like to wait and see how spring practice goes but Brammer might decide to commit before the Trojans hold spring drills.
It’s the dilemma of the offensive line at the moment.
Brammer started all 12 games at right tackle North Texas last season and earned honorable mention all-conference honors.
- Last week I mentioned USC was charging $35 for Rams parade parking. But this tweet really caught my eye:
https://platform.twitter.com/widgets.jsHad an appointment @UCLAHealth today. Was charged $14 to park for 47 mins. There is absolutely no justifiable reason for this. Discussions about health equity don’t just center in exam rooms, but in barriers we put up before patients can even walk through the door. pic.twitter.com/RZEo54sLCO

And… if a patient tries to use UCLA Reserved Parking without the necessary permit they’ll find themselves getting criminally charged for Grand Theft [the cost of permit]……

Get used to high prices– parking, meds, doctors, and your grocer. This is America where gouging seems to be a way of life for some, which of course has reduced the middle class from about 70% of the population down to maybe 30%.
What are your thoughts, MG, the man who does little thinking.

Okay –time out from the USC/ucla scrimmage.
I hope everybody takes a long look at your correct middle class math, John. 70% to 30%. What does that mean? Obviously we are becoming a country of the extreme rich and the extreme poor. Most historians view that kind of wealth division as the prelude to downfall.

Another growing divide, and one that’s impacting society today, is the communication divide between an older, presumably wiser, pre-wired generation and the Millennial and below, wired-generations. In a study conducted by Haahvad Med School (Study of The Wired Mind) it was determined that older generations were, from birth, exposed to, and noticed an avg of 100-200 impressions (adv or otherwise) per day from about the age of 7 fwd. The wired gen was exposed/noticed upwards of approx 5000 impressions day 1 fwd. The human body being the human body did its thing and adapted… more synapses and receptors developed & engaged in the wired brain when compared to prior gens. The upshot of the whole deal is the wired brain requires a minimum level of noise to comfortably engage that exceeds the max “tap-out” noise point for non-wired folks. This inability to find a common and acceptable noise level in order to speak, share, etc effectively creates a communication gap. And there’s your Wed fun fact.

The 29 year old who installed our “home entertainment system’ when we arrived in Hawaii couldn’t stop talking about Bernie Sanders and Socialism as the wave of the future. When he left he told me he had to get to a concert. I said “I hope it’s free”— and he said “no, of course not —they have to pay the band and rent the theater.”

Enfield’s gone if he gets an offer. He’s lived in Palos Verdes for awhile and survived Los Angeles. Sure he’s going to get paid more. Enjoy living in College Park; just another effed-out college town.

Hilarious. I remember when I left the City Attorney’s Office a friend of mine said “well, all your old enemies are gonna make peace with you at a going away lunch —I wonder how long before you use up their good will?” At lunch I looked across the table and kiddingly said “wow, what a bunch of losers.” Then I looked at my friend and said “answer to question —3 seconds.”

UCLA has to pay rent at the Rose Bowl. The football team can generate enough interest so they have to get the money somewhere.

At nearly any parking lot the rates are posted at the entrance and presumably anyone can see them and decide whether they want to park there or not. Ms. Nunez undoubtedly had the option to park further away, pay less for parking, and walk to her appointment. Nobody forced her to park where she did, so it looks from here like she assumes that convenient, nearby, and low cost (or no cost) parking is an entitlement.
I wonder if Ms. Nunez thinks that “there is absolutely no justifiable reason” that the clubs she frequents charge $14 for the appletinis she enjoys?

I sure LR will go after another one or two O linemen, just for depth sake. Still a big need at linebacker, if there is anyone with any speed. Even the grads with one season left can fill a hole. The way football is manned right now the starters will be playing on special teams.

Dear Ms. Nunuz,
Ugly has to pay for the dr that fingered all the women, pay for the lost revenue for the athletic dept., and pay for the non staff who work in the parking lot. If you arde a woke, it is called capitalism. Something ugly does not teach.
Sorry that you had to pay $14.00. But if you took any accounting classes, since you can write off your dr.’s appointment on your taxes, then you can write off the parking off your taxes. I do. It works. But being the cheap skate that I am, I will walk a few blocks to save money.

john,
I just wrote a thesis on this. I lost it. Many points to this and I will recap. Dammit and it was good. Bullet points and they are;
Biden has been bought by the Russians he has to walk on egg shells
Putin will go at this until october and play peace. Then he will start after the elections hoping that the democrats are back in town.
Biden is imbicle. He did not read Sun how to fight a war either by physcoallgy or actual war.
Area is too large for the US to fight. Don’t want boots there. Hitler lost an entire army on the eastern front.
Biden is too weak to force nato go to and protect
Europe is waiting for the US to get and stop this.
Putin wants the entire Soviet bloc back, Estonia, Poland, checkoslovkia, etc.
Putin will fight for the cities but not the country side.
I think God is allowing for man sin’s. Man think he does not need God and man thinks he is god. Man is wrong on this.
Besides prayer, if we had very strong leadership, the US could open up channels to the top generals and see if they want to overthrow Putin. That is the only way it will happen besides prayer.
Supply Ukraine with older equipment, B-52’s, F-4’s, F-14’s and let them go at it.
Do you wanht the leadership right now to try and talk to Putin? Can you see Cortez or Pelosi try and talk to him? he would just throw them away like garbage
These are my opinions. My first one was written out and it was long. I had to do this again. But it is a shorter version.

John,
Also, Regan or Trump in office they would have told Putin that they would put sanctions on, cut off banking, stop commerce, and get into the major shipping lanes to slow down shipping. No cargo flights into the US. Slow down the russian flights, tell the communist dictator Trudeu of Canada to do the samed thing.
