USC Morning Buzz: Jordan Addison Today?

We’re still waiting for Pitt wide receiver Jordan Addison to officially enter the transfer portal.

Sources I spoke to at USC on Monday fully expect Addison to join the team and steps were being taken to add him to the program.

  • While waiting for Addison, has anyone projected the three starting cornerbacks for USC next season? Once you get past Mekhi Blackmon, then what? I have freshman Domani Jackson starting but he missed most of last season with a knee injury. After that who is the third corner? Joshua Jackson? Prophet Brown? Max Williams? Ceyair Wright?

Transfer portal, please.

  • USC tailback Travis Dye got married last weekend.

      2. That leaker was probably from the anticipated short side of the 5-4 vote. String that person up by the short hairs for trying to get ahead of the story. SCOTUS has now turned ugly.

      3. Cal 75 –It’s not merely the Supreme Court that’s turned “ugly.” Biden told activist groups last week they “may” need to be in the streets again this summer [you know, burning and battering]. The meeting came a few days before the leaked draft of the Roe decision [which was in the hands of some very far left court research attorneys & interns]. Interesting timing, huh? Anybody who thought that taking back the country was gonna be easy is about to see otherwise. Expect plenty of violence leading into November.

  4. I am a conservative Christian, who believes life begins at conception. Believing the Bible, I believe that God knew us before we were in the womb.
    That being said, I also believe that any life saving procedure should be legal. I would hope that, while not a constitutional right (the word abortion doesn’t come up in a word search of the constitution) the court allows the medical procedure to remain legal. The genie has been let out of the bottle sort to speak, and would be damn hard to put back. Making it a criminal offense is not going to stop abortion, it is stopping legal abortions.

  6. Two things:

    Congrats to Dye on getting married.

    As for the SCOTUS decision, those on the right should understand that if “my body my choice” does not apply to abortion rights, then it probably doesn’t apply to those who assert bodily autonomy when refusing vaccine mandates since they will likely be re-imposed again. What is sauce for the goose is sauce for the gander.

    I suspect this precedent will be used in ways we have not fully contemplated.

    $5 million is now considered the going rate.

    Collectives are playing it wisely, assuring they are appropriately documenting their athlete deals to avoid garnering attention from the NCAA. But it is not difficult to have athletes do the quid pro quo
    (or exchange of work). There are social media posts, autograph signings, speaking engagements and so on.

    Penn State is trying to avoid having only a select few multi-millionaires fund its NIL program by getting some 10,000 Penn State fans to contribute $10 to $500 each per month. And in exchange for the donations, fans receive exclusive access to players, such as appearances, podcasts and private events.

  9. It does matter what the pinko commie atheists want or the conservatives want, what matters is what God wants. He doesn’t want the killing of innocent lives. He doesn’t like it when people break his laws. What matters is what God wants, he wants us to love one another and follow his commands. You are either for him or against him. I listen to Relevant Radio, a Catholic radio station and they have been praying to end abortion through the rosary, Devine Mercy Chaplet and other prayers. I think God had heard the prayers and will act upon the prayers that have been sent.

    Someone brought up a point about aborting a baby if it was a matter of life and death of the mother or the baby. They made a movie a long time ago, around the 50’s regarding this issue. They went with the Catholic churches teaching in the movie. However, I think the Church will allow the mother to live in that instance.

    1. Demi Moore was more than willing to give her life for her child’s in “The Seventh Sign”. That was a great movie, especially to those who believe in the Good Book. (Many believe the Book of Revelations is upon us.)

      One of these days I’ll watch the original.
