  1. SUCC favored to win Pac-12, yadda, yadda, yadda; what a load of Traveler road apples. SUCC was favored last year too – LOL

      1. I’m taking the field LJ; so you got SUCC FB. As usual, starting with a Stanford loss, SUCC tanks every year. I mean Clown U is basically the same 4-8 team from last year. Dart and Williams is a push. Remind me LJ, who’s blocking and tackling?

Clown U FB couldn’t win a cheap kewpie doll at the Santa Monica pier.

    1. Different coaches. Comparing CH(or Williams) to LR is not exactly like comparing apples to oranges…..more like comparing apples to aircraft carriers.

    1. That’s what’s known as a non sequitur ’67. It makes as much sense as 90% of your posts and I’m being generous so your feelings won’t be hurt.

  2. Would ‘Vegas even take a bet of $100 on Arizona with a chance to win $50,000?

I know the chances of Arizona winning are slim and none, and slim already left town. But as McKay once said, ‘2 or 3 plane crashes” and Arizona might be in.

    1. You sucked me in So Cal, thanks a lot. That Heard gal is playing her best role and it reminds me how it is dangerous to tangle with females in court because they are convincing talkers and can even add a few well-timed tears to enhance their believability.

“Let sleeping dogs lie,” but Depp just had to sue her for a journalistic piece that hardly anybody would have cared about. And now that he has “opened the Pandora’s Box” she has a better chance of winning her counter-suit than he has winning his ‘suit.

    2. Hi So Cal. Well. I’ve been watching Ambers movies. I have to admit the luster is gone. I’ve gone back to Anya Taylor-Joy. If you don’t know her check her out on you tube

      1. The publicity will kill Depp; Heard probably won’t be hurt much because she didn’t have much going for her anyway

  3. So all that “crazy” talk from SC followers that the Trojans might make the playoffs turns out not to be so farfetched afterall. Of course, with 5 major conferences, winning the Pac-12 is not an automatic entry to the “Final-4”

  4. Why was John Wayne a jerk?

John Wayne held rather anachronistic views that would not fly in many places today. He was a philanderer who walked out on his first wife and had affairs with costars. He was openly homophobic and stated in his Playboy interview that he thought Blacks had inferior intelligence and that taking land from Indians was justified.

Wayne also skipped out on military service during World War II, repeatedly ignoring draft notices by using excuses like finishing movies or losing paperwork. Meanwhile many of his fellow actors volunteered to serve – even insisting on serving when the Army/Navy officials told them it wasn’t necessary. They included Henry Fonda, Clark Gable, Eddie Albert, Gene Autrey, and Jimmy Stewart. Wayne thought military service would hurt his movie career.

After the war, Wayne turned into a super-patriot who joined the McCarthy witch hunts and accused fellow actors who’d served in combat during World War II of being unpatriotic. When the Vietnam War broke out, Wayne whole-heartedly endorsed the war and denounced its opponents.

      1. Johnny was a jerk. Wasn’t there a movie where Johnny massacred an entire Japanese division just using a dull popsicle stick.

      2. ..and —if you’re gonna “judge” somebody maybe it’s a good idea to spend a little time figuring them out —watch the interviews of Wayne on The Searchers or Rio Bravo DVD’s. He wasn’t perfect ….but who is?

      3. DeNiro is a complete douche TODAY!! But Heat, Ronin, Cape Fear, Men of Honor, A Bronx Tale, The Untouchables? Some of my favorite movies!

So I’m not going to refrain from enjoying Wayne’s movies based on things he said decades ago.

  6. But MG, Johnny was so imperfect on so many levels. Even Geo. Wallace came to see the error of his racist views and actions.

  7. I will after one last bitch. It irked me that in their movies together, Johnny always got to beat up Lee Marvin, a marine, wounded in combat.

    1. And he was demoted from corporal to private, upon being discharged, for being a troublemaker.

Interesting, to know he was as much of a rebel in real life as he was in the movies. Good for him!

      QUESTION AUTHORITY!
