Morning Buzz: It’s A USC Win In L.A. Mayor’s Race

Rick Caruso and Karen Bass will face off in November for the L.A. Mayor’s race.

Caruso received 42 percent of the vote while Bass received 37 percent in Tuesday’s primary election.

You know who wins come November? USC.

In the end, isn’t that how it always works in politics? The most powerful always come out ahead.

Caruso and Bass both have strong ties to USC. Caruso obviously has been the most powerful figure at USC since Max Nikias was ousted and has been involved in every major decision, including that $7.6 million exit package Nikias received.

Bass got a $95,000 scholarship from USC for a master’s degree from the USC School of Social Work and was the USC Commencement speaker in 2019.

Caruso wins. USC wins.

Bass wins. USC wins.

  1. Bears repeating, Bass is a commie sympathizer. Karen will get more votes from USC faculty and administration than will Caruso.

        Uh-uh, that’s why the annual report that is usually posted in January (because it’s for the fiscal period Oct 1 – Sep 30) is NOT there for Sep 30, 2021! They don’t want us to see the numbers that Dementia Joe is flying all over the country in the middle of the night. People would freak out!

      2. So Cal –The dems crack me up. They are spontaneously dishonest —lying when it is clear they are lying…lying even when they don’t have to lie. They can’t help it –it’s what they do. Their reaction to being caught in a lie is exactly the same as Prince John’s in the Errol Flynn version of Robin Hood: When King Richard finally returns with his loyal knights and presents himself at court all Prince John can say is, “A trick of the outlaws!”

    I have two good friends named Karen, who don’t fit the clueless profile, and that’s why I don’t like the Karen memes.
    However, if I were Rick Caruso I’d hit that meme hard. “Don’t be a Karen.” ” Some Karen was investigated by the FBI… ”
    It’s better than getting a piece of Bass…

      3. PT, the medical help business is 2/10 around here. Once they learn that you do not want to be a guinea pig for weekly visits and $10,000/ month chemical insurance billings, then they go to the next sucker.

        First thing is starve the tumor. 25% smaller in the last month. Complete modified keto diet. No fat, no sugar. I’m 69 and that’s about all I can do for the next couple of weeks until I see what is happening. The good news it helps my knees and I’ve lost a belt notch, lol.

    gotta get rid of newsom. That no good sun of a bench raised the gas price an additional 3% for raising the gas tax at that amount. How in the world can so many idiots vote for that piece of feces. Get him out.

      1. Numbsom recently announced he had achieved a $100 billion (that’s with a B) surplus, as if it were a good thing. That’s our money drawn from the dummies who put him in office in the form of over taxation. He ain’t going to give it back, he wants people to send ideas on how to spend it. How about paying back the teacher’s pension fund the money borrowed by a previous governor to balance the budget . The one that lets tax and spend politicians call the pensions “unfounded mandates.”
        He rigged the recall I can’t wait to see how he rigs this election.

  9. Caruso will win. He will have more money to spend and in a one on one fight, will be able to outspend her.

    I’m not a big Caruso fan, with all the shit he has pulled at USC, but he is way better than Bass.

  11. Tulsi voted present instead of yay or nay on a critical House vote. Caruso has solved every problem that has occurred at USC (school dean doing drugs with students, gynecologist molesting female students, city councilman bribing school officials, Varsity Blues, Business dean getting reassigned) BY THROWING MONEY UNTIL THE RESULT IS FAVORABLE. Your turncoat Republican spends money that’s not his to solve HIS issues. Karen Bass supported Fidel Castro. Vociferously. That alone disqualifies her. But blaming public education, saying the dems this and the dems that shows how we got to this state of malaise. Your generation failed to lead because your greedy, selfish and unwillingness to sacrifice what little morality you have to a cause that’s greater than you. It truly appears the Greatest Generation in American history gave birth to the Greediest Generation in world history.
