With the season six days away, here’s a reality that will hit some fans this week: Lincoln Riley’s debut vs. Rice will be on the Pac-12 Network.
That’s a harsh reality for some people, especially if you do not get the Pac-12 Network. And it is not a given every sports bar or restaurant has the network. Plenty of fans have told me in the past they went to establishments that did not feature it.
USC is moving to the Big Ten but some of the problems of being in the Pac-12 still exist this season.
It could be worse: UCLA’s first three games are on the Pac-12 Network.
- Devin Williams, a 6-10 four-star forward from Corona Centennial, will announce his college decision today at 4 p.m. USC and UCLA are finalists.
There you have it … Larry Scott’s failed Pac12 Network strategy on full display. The bar I’m at carries Big Ten Network, but not Pac12 Network. Nobody will be watching UCLA anyway.

UCLA playing Bowling Green. USC playing Rice is bad enough, but just WOW!?

Rice AAU with an $8.1 billion academic endowment. You’ve been approved for membership for the Pac12 Conference.

Rice is weak in EVERY department —so if USC has trouble with the rush, the run game, pass defense [anything actually] we’re in for a tough go when we meet Stanford.

If you want to watch it you can stream spectrum cable. Larry Scott messed up the future collapse of what we know as the PAC? Maybe they will get San Diego St Eastern Washington UNLV Boise St. Fresno St Nevada San Jose St. Washington St. Oregon St Colorado St and media deal will worth a great streaming deal with Peacock, Amazon. This conference isn’t worth watching as PAC After Dark. Good luck commish with keeping conference together after 2024.

You shouldn’t to overcome, adapt and improvise to watch your team on TV. It should be easy for USC fans as consumers of this product.

Yeah well the prodhct hasn’t been all that good lately.
And with ‘Ol Mule Shoe doing his Clay Helton impersonation with regards to recruiting nothing but skill position players and totally neglecting the defense, I wouldn’t blame people for not buying into the product just yet.

If you listen to the game on s streaming radio platform with Pete Arbogast you should be ready for a nap by halftime.
Arbogast is about as exciting as Mr. Excitement himself, Ross Porter

U of Texas soon to be the nation’s wealthiest school has 2.1 million acres of mineral rich land it leases out for about $6 million per day of income.
Do you think any football program in the nation will compete with that in the future

Texas keeps hiring coaches like Sarkisian, all the money in the world won’t help them get back to any title game.

$3 per acre per day doesn’t seem far-fetched. But Texas is a sick old sow (paraphrasing an old Gene Hackman-Lee Marvin movie).

D. Williams II is a Bruin. At his announcement he threw the bozo BB cap away from the dais……OUCH!
Apparently, Andyain’twinning tried to bride William’s father with a job offer to land young Williams, but the father said he had 1) a job and 2) he didn’t work for “One and Done” losers.
Who wants to play for a BB coach that hands out rings for an Elite Eight, 19 point, blow-out loss?

The score was deceptive…. it seemed much more like an 18 point loss….

Michael, I think with Wolfie it is more a matter of principal than principle. I get the feeling he is a bit of a penny-pincher, or as a chum once described a particular miser, “That guy will hold on to a nickel so tightly that the buffalo on it will eventually start crying in pain”

And so MG and George Tirebiter make reference to The King, one Elvis Presley.
I just saw the movie tonight, Sunday, with my wife, and my reflections of this remarkable American icon are these:
He was basically a country-boy, raised in Tennessee, and he remained a country-boy type until his premature death of an overdose of pills at only 42.
I believe the guy was basically an introverted personality, he seldom was lucid when talking, but his ability to connect with a 10,000-or-more audience through his singing-and-dancing was because he was gifted with a sweet singing voice, and he had the good-instincts, as a singer and instrument player, to incorporate into his being the high-feelings and spiritual-excitement generated by Black music
He apparently spent time just down the street from where he lived, eaves-dropping at the Black churches and weddings to hear, listen, and incorporate into his own being, the sounds and lyrics of Black soul music.
He always loved music, and the Black-music style of often incorporating a rapid yet melodic beat. awakened in him a gift of music appreciation, and as a result, he, a mere white man, operating in a Black-dominated music arena, was transformed into a singing-and-dancing White-dynamo that the world had never seen.
Predictably, except for the young women of Elvis’ age, much of America jealously rebelled at this young handsome guy gyrating his hips in an obviously sexual-manner. The old Puritanical London sexual conservatism ruled America until fairly recently, but for Elvis, it was all about the music-and-dance, and he was oblivious to the old rules, or was not capable of abiding by them; he was only free-and-feeling comfortable when he could sing-and-dance the way he wanted.
Although I am not a big fan of most of Elvis’ rockers, I love many of his love-ballads such as: “Are you lonesome tonight, Do you picture me there,”
or “”I’ll be faithful, I’ll be true, in loving you, loving you–just you, now”
Unfortunately, the idea of a world-celebrity presence was not what Elvis “signed up for,” but circumstances made it the cornerstone of his life. Probably to his dismay. And his death. The guy could not take the unexpected and abusive pressure of being the world’s Number-One Star.
