Devin Williams, a 6-10 four-star forward from Corona Centennial, committed to UCLA over USC on Sunday.
Was anyone surprised?
I knew Williams would end up at UCLA when the USC fanboys started going silent leading up to the announcment.
I’m curious to see how USC recruiting goes now that former assistant coach Jason Hart has been gone for a year and the Trojans try to get more players who had less contact with him. Maybe it won’t matter. We’ll see.
The crosstown rivals are not done recruiting against each other. USC and UCLA are both recruiting five-star point guard Isaiah Collier from Marietta, Ga., who is rated the No. 1 player in the nation by 247Sports. Collier visited both schools in May and his mother is from Inglewood.

Now, if I am 6’10” and a 4-star basketballer, do I go to SC, where an average of 3000 fans will be sleep-walking through my games, or go to sucla, where up to 13,000 fanatics will be screaming-and-chanting my name?

Or do I go to a school that during the Enfield era has consistently put big men in the league or do I go to one that, under the current coach, has put no one in the league? Williams will end up playing in Europe, at best, when his career as a Bruin is over.

Well the Mobley Compton Magic connection is losing his grip. Does this mean the other kid Miranda is going to sign? The 5 star Collier is a must get we need a actual point guard who knows how to run a team, nothing against Drew, but he is nice combo guard not a true point.
