Have You Had Problems With Your USC Tickets?

A USC season-ticket holder called to say he couldn’t access his tickets on the GameDay app today.

It eventually worked but then he wondered if USC was scrimmaging Washington State on Thursday?

  2. My tickets are fine. What is interesting is that, due to a change in family circumstance, I sold two of my three Full Season Tickets on Stub Hub. However, not allowed to sell tickets to USC Games on Ticketmaster. Yet, there are a ton of tickets for sale on Ticketmaster. Is USC selling directly on Ticketmaster? Would seem odd considering they have a relationship with Stubhub. If not, how did all of those tickets get posted on Ticketmaster?

    I will laugh if someone hacks the system on Saturday and brings down the system so that they cannot scan the phone or device that the tickets are on. I will laugh if this happens 5 minutes before the doors are to open and the hacker will send a test to SC to pay $10 mil to turn the system on. You will have 70,000 pissed off fans. What will SC do? Will they pay the ransom, will they allow the fans in without having the tickets scanned or shut down the entrance? Interesting problem. I hate not having tickets. Plus when they were printed they looked sharp and I took pride that I had tickets to SC football. How can you feel anything if you can’t touch it?

    1. I have my printed tickets in hand. But they aren’t fancy looking, the way they had been in recent years.

      There was a little box to click, when renewing your tickets. But they charge a small fee.

        So you can have paper tickets that are printed from your copier, is that correct? If so, then at least you have paper in your hand. I just don’t like not having paper in my hand because of the thought that I had. Smart move having paper becuase there will be a screw up on Saturday. Good luck.

      2. Sounds like SC, charge extra for printed tickets. The prices they are getting they should be nice embossed with color.

      5. We’ve always had 4-6 tickets and having your party enter together is not always an option. So when they stop offering printed tickets, I will no longer be a season ticket holder.

    2. Totally agree, PT. And sometimes the “virtual” ticket is not printed correctly, and I have been denied entrance to a game that I paid for. I am preparing a class-action lawsuit because you just know this has occurred with thousands of Trojan ticket-buyers.

    No issues it worked perfectly just like last year.

    You got to trust the process.

    And does it really matter to you, on a deeply-personal-level,
    Whether your favorite team wins or loses

    Can’t you just see if your situation somehow ended up in some make-believe L.A. Court, The Judge would probably comment on how you religiously-spent upwards of 10,000 lifetime hours devoted to THAT t.v. screen of yours, of which much of the time was spent Sports-Viewing.

    But as the saying goes, “Judge not, lest ye be judged”— So in my tiny-world nobody judges people’s various behaviors. But we delight in stating verified facts.

        Yes, yes, and yes— Some of the greatest minutes of my life were spent watching Trojan football at its finest– the ’74 Neuter Dame Comeback Game, 55-24, which set-up a National Championship Game at the Rose Bowl with the dreaded Ohio St. Buckeyes (although the B-Eyes boys prefer THE Ohio St, with special emphasis placed on the word THE)

        And SC beat THE Ohio St that day. It was a rather dull defensive battle until the final minutes when SC, down 17-10, set-up for its last chance. There was grave tension among the Trojan faithful, it had not been a stellar game for Troy’s offense.

        But a few plays later Haden-to-Johnny McKay Jr for 6, but still down 17-16. You just knew SC had to go for it!– Nothing less would do. (Coach McKay had a history of ‘going for it’ as in 1961 versus the No.1 Iowa Hawkeyes, they were once that good, and at the end Coach went for the win with a 2-point play, however it failed and Troy fell. But the mold was set that day. That was McKay at his finest, and it made up for what he did to me in college. More on that below)

        Yes, the feelings still remain from that 55-24 game, which unfortunately has dwarfed the later Rose Bowl victory, turning it into a mere footnote. But the feelings generated were sharply different. A close game with the Neuters suddenly turned into a 55-24 runaway. Trojans were laughing as much as they were cheering. ND was quickly out of the game, and there was no drama left, the tension dissolved

        — Not so on January 1, 1975 for the National Championship. It was an unusual gray, overcast afternoon, and the lack of sun created a
        serious-type atmosphere even if they were not playing for the Title.

        And so with the Haden-to-McKay strike giving SC a chance, the Trojan faithful are screaming and in a tizzy– But the game still has to be won. And it will take a 2-point play where the odds are against you making it

        The excitement is almost maddening as the seconds tick away while SC strategizes its 2-point play. SC takes the field, and quarterback Haden takes the snap. He drops back, but apparently no Trojan is open, so instead he tries to run it in. But he quickly sees he cannot make it, and in that micro-second moment Diggs breaks open, Haden, surprised, still does manage to throw a lame-duck pass.
        And Diggs digs it out for the 18-17 comeback victory and the 1974 Title.

        So anyway, back to the point– The point is, George Tirebiter, yeah, you don’t want to miss out on even one-minute of a Trojan football game, but after SC sports, what else is there in sports?– SC is the only team I follow. Every other team is but a mere blur.

        SC coach John McKay, a man who I much admired from afar for his 1962 National Title and other victories. I day-dreamed about one day being the Trojan quarterback, I was pretty accurate in fraternity football up to 60-yards, but I would have settled for being a wideout.
        So I was accepted as a football Walk-on and got to practice with the ‘big boys’ during the Spring of 1966.

        An incident occurred during that Spring between Coach McKay and me. During one of the passing drills, a practice quarterback drilled the ball to me at too-close range, and it banged off my shoulder pads. McKay, who I had never talked to, casually walked up to me and
        matter-of-factly said, “You– If you drop another pass you might as well get off this field.”

        After that I remember not dropping any more passes. And I also remember, just can’t forget, Mr. McKay.

      LOLO, that is the first thing that has made sense that came off your typing and thought. With Dolt and Bohn running the show and taking away tradition, they just might meet at Chanos on figureoa for the mmqb meeting.
