Who Is Transfer U.? USC Or UCLA?

UCLA coach Chip Kelly said it was a mistake for the school’s official football twitter account to call it Transfer U.

“When I saw it, I said, ‘That’s a mistake,’ ” Kelly said.

Maybe someone was jealous that USC has become Transfer U.

  • Fresno State QB Jake Haener said he grew up a USC fan.

‘I wanted that offer but little Jake Haener wasn’t tall enough and didn’t have enough stars next to his name,” he said. “Now I get the chance to play there.’

  • UCLA’s game with Alabama State last weekend means USC and Notre Dame are the only schools to never play a FCS team.

  1. Still no snark for USC? Only for sucla.

Over 24 hours of the “glass is 9/10 full, not 1/10 empty” Scottie.

Need a newer photo for this post. This one has Markese Stepp in the background, and I believe Slovis is the QB in the foreground. Plenty of good photo material already from this year to pick from.

  2. Here’s the deal. All I care about are wins. As long as there is no cheating, I don’t care how we get the players, or who the players are. Most people do care about those things. and that is fine. I just want to have USC have more points at the end of the game than the other guys……

      1. I do not like how this Fresno St quarterback Haener, who obviously has not forgotten SC’s recruiting snub, was quoted as saying,
“…little Jack Haener wasn’t tall enough, and he didn’t have enough stars next to his name.”

A vengeful quarterback can be a dangerous animal.

    1. Haener came in a 3 star at Washington, then transferred to Fresno. Every season he has improved. His biggest problem is that he is surrounded by 2 and 3 star players who some have been coached up. Were he on a teams with 4 star talent I would consider him a Heisman candidate. After watching him beat ucla he got my vote. But in the end USC has the talent edge with great coaching. I see a decent game but USC going away by 20.

    2. For our survival we must learn the difference between a sociopath and one that is not. This false equivalence will lead to doomsday for all of us. We need each other for survival. And, our thinking about these issues will determine how we survive. These categorizes , Liberals, conservatives, progressives ought to be exorcised from our vocabulary. They are just labels that divide. If you want to disperse that stuff on this venue, then do it with good thinking. Get rid of those categories. Football wise, if teams do not learn that they lose and as we continue this divisive crap and calling names we cannot work as a team. Think about it. No such thing as raciast and non raciast or conservative or liberal. We all have all of it. A slight improvement in thinking would be beneficial. And, good thinking is about that, it enables us to be less judgemental. Your grandmother told you to be self refrlexive. Apply it here. Present speaker is guilty also. The difference , however, is that some know it and that is good thinking. Think about it, if we want to talk about things other than football .

      3. Parcel, a couple of years ago Trump wanted to top off the Strategic Petroleum Reserve at $24 a barrel. The Dims shot it down with Chuck Schumer proclaiming that his party had blocked a “bailout for big oil.”

That decision effectively cost the US billions in potential profits and meant Biden had tens of millions of fewer barrels at his disposal with which to counter price surges. (Which is not even the purpose of the SPR!)

It is now at the lowest level since 1984! Dementia Joe is going to start replenishing it once it dips below $80 a barrel! But no, inflation has nothing to do with this administration’s horrible economic policies. Shame on you for even suggesting it!

        • Gas is currently $1.95 per gallon.
        • Interest rates are 2.25 percent for a 30-year mortgage.
        • The stock market closed at 30829.40 though we have been fighting COVID for 11 months.
        • Our GDP growth for the 3rd Qtr was 33.1 percent.
        • We had the best economy ever until COVID and it is recovering well.
        • We have not had any new wars or conflicts in the last 4 years.
        • North Korea has been under control and has not been testing any missiles.
        • ISIS has not been heard from for over 3 years.
        • The housing market is the strongest it has been in years.
        • Homes have appreciated at an unbelievable rate and sell well.
        • And let’s not forget that peace deals in the Middle East were signed by 4 countries—unprecedented!
        • Unemployment sits at 6.7% in spite of COVID.
        • Illegal crossings were at a trickle on 1/19/21. (Starting 1/21/21, the flood gates opened.)

You can say Trump didn’t know how to do shit and that’s fine. All I’m saying is a corrupt, frail old man WITH DEMENTIA was not the answer. The country and the world were a safer place with him in office. I don’t enjoy seeing people die in Afghanistan, Ukraine and soon Taiwan. I care about people.

But please believe me when I tell you this Biden administration represents an all time, historic low point for America. They are bankrupting the country [with republican help].
Vote for candidates who tell the American people the hard truth. We’re in trouble….and there is no easy way out. We all have to do more, expect less and come together.

I like our chances against Utah, we must control the LOS on both sides. Offensively we are better than most teams in the country. I would engage in this Blog’s political debates if I thought my voice would change anything, but alas, I realize that anything I might say would have the same effect as my throwing a pea into the ocean, not much!

Besides, it is easy to make enemies, or at least lose a friend arguing over politics,

They are using the portal as a JC system. Go learn to play football and come back when you are homesick. Annouced by someone months before a vote is cast? We thought hey, no one is going to believe that. But, they did. 3 months before a vote is cast? If one does not believe that about a game why elsewhere? They bought it. Is that equalivent to what other candisates said? Only cult members may believe that logic.

      14. So, some one comes along and says before the game is played that if USC wins over ND it is because USC cheated you would not believe them? Well, some guy comes along and says 3 months before a vote is cast, if I lose it is because the other side cheated and you believe that is true? Really? Only cult members react like that? I said to myself they are not going to believe that , well I was wrong and that still lingers. If he said tomorrow well they did not cheat would you believe that? Because he said it. Or if he said monday that it was wednesday would you have to think about it because he said it? Or as he said he could shoot someone on 5th ave and they still would vote for me. Really? Cult members believe anything the leader says. He says everyone including law enforcement officers are corrupt and it is believed because he said it. Why, I am puzzled. I have only known cults to behave like that. Rev. Moon, Jim Jones and now people who are supposed to know better. Scary. Oath keepers, proud boys, malcom X , farrakan. minute men,Ku Klux Klan etc. All Cults. Which incudes 45. Face it!

And, the republicans wrote the manual on that. Democrats are too busy talking about issues. Politics is all about manipulation because people are gullible and not very smart. Politicians bank on that, well the good ones do. That is a reality. The republicans aremaster manipulaters , you know that. In that sense they are smart. The demos play by rules of basket ball and republicans know better, they are playing by a different set of rules. Democrta either do not know when the rules change or too stuck on “truth”. So do notworry about the republicans, if they do not like the rules they will change them and the Demos are still stuck on the old rules. It is a different ball game now, anything goes . By the time the demos learn that, the rules have changed again. I like that honesty thing they are stuck on but politics require something else. If you cannot do that find another profession.

The claim that Hunter’s laptop was Russian disinformation, not calling out Joe for hiding in his basement, careful editing of Joe’s speaking engagements.

So many people are now acting surprised when his live TV events show how bad it is. They’re also shocked at all of the proof there is that Hunter was peddling the family name & influence.

Heck, Hunter even asked the court recently to reduce the child support he owes, because of a “substantial change in income”. Gee, with it being higher on the DOJ’s radar and daddy being close to the back end of his first & only term, he can’t command the same prices for daddy’s time & preferential treatment.

Their WRs are smallish, listed at 6′ max, several are shorter. Their featured RB Mims is a 2 star guy. So they definitely do more with less.

    1. A very low a rate of unemployment can have negative consequences, such as inflation and reduced productivity. When the labor market reaches a point where each additional job added does not create enough productivity to cover its cost, then an output gap, or slack, happens.

I’m amused at people who point to low unemployment as an end all, be all of how well things are going. The economy (including productivity) will actually be doing better
      when it returns to 5.0-5.5%.

The 1.0-1.5% differential are people who are engaging in a phenomena known as “quiet quitting”. They’re barely doing enough not to get fired. With a better workforce on the sidelines, bosses would have shown them the door already. But knowing how tough it is to find people, they keep them.
