This game is over but it’s not the crisp, tune-up you want going into the UCLA game.

Travis Dye carted off field. It’s a huge loss because he is the Trojans’ emotional leader.

USC is going to win but will anyone feel better about the team the way it’s played so far?

This is a terrible start but USC salvages a TD because Colorado is worse.

USC had eight yards of offense in the quarter. That’s pathetic.

  9. There is a culture problem at USC. lack of accountability for individual players.

    I see Caleb keep throwing the ball to Brendon Rice, and the guy doesnt make the plays. A receiver needs to believe that every ball thrown his way is catchable. For Rice to remain in the game is a slap to the face of every other player on the team and every receiver who is behind him in the receiver room.

        My wife asked me if I have ever seen an entire team on the field surrounding a hurt player….. I have seen similar from an NFL team.

        (I pray it’s not as worse as it looks)….. Major ACL will impact his NFL future.

      1. Barlow is a good back. Why they have had him on the bench all year long is a mystery to me. Granted, you’ve had Dye all year long. But still, a talented back like Barlow should have more than 7 carries going into the 10th game.

  31. Curious if anyone here still thinks USC has a part to play in the playoff even if they somehow beat UCLA, ND, and Oregon?

    They aren’t good. I’m a fan but I also like to think I’ve got a pretty solid grasp on the realities in this world.

      1. Not sure about YoungDole, but we didn’t have that much traffic until we got within a couple of miles of the 110, since we were going the opposite way. Yes, some of us enjoy attending all games, no matter how one sided it’s going to be. Doesn’t mean we’re idiots. It means we’re dedicated.

  36. Either the d-line is too slow or too small. They can’t beat the Colorado lineman at sometimes or they don’t shed blocks properly. At this point, they should be forcing the other linemen to reach as opposed to losing and being sealed. I expect more violent attacking of Colorado blocks in the middle guard. You practice how you play.

  38. Grinch has to realize his side of the ball needs more decisive play from the entire team as the play develops. The missed tackles are going to be the death of this team the next two games. If they can’t stop UCLA with the run then it won’t matter what the offense does. Plus, special teams can be the difference in hidden yardage. The problem is USC is better at getting turnovers than UCLA. Will that extra day make a difference? It’s fun to see this match up have big stakes on the line, not just pride.

    2. …per the FPI computer, USC has a better offense than UCLA and an equivalent (mediocre) defense. USC’s Special Teams is far and away better than UCLA.
