USC Morning Buzz: ESPN Provides Pac-12 Title Game Humor

Utah will play USC without tailback Tavion Thomas, who injured his toe against Oregon.

Thomas announced Nov. 25 he would skip the rest of the season and prepare for the NFL Draft.

But apparently, no one told ESPN yet, as this video from Wednesday shows.

  • USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch on facing Utah tight end Dalton Kincaid a second time. Kincaid had 16 catches for 234 yards in the first meeting vs. the Trojans.

“As a competitor, it certainly doesn’t take playing them again to be reminded, it’s a constant anytime someone has a career game against you, and there’s a level of embarrassment about it,” Grinch said. “But also, if a guy scores 40, in a basketball game, then you’ve got to go play him again, you can’t assume he’s gonna score 40 again.”

  • Christine McVie, the singer-songwriter behind some of Fleetwood Mac’s biggest hits, died Wednesday following a brief illness. She was 79.

McVie wrote and/or sang several of their hits including “Don’t Stop,” “Over My Head,” “You Make Loving Fun” and “Say You Love Me.”

“A few hours ago I was told that my best friend in the whole world since the first day of 1975, had passed away,” Stevie Nicks wrote in a handwritten note on Instagram. “I didn’t even know she was ill… until late Saturday night.”

So Scottie found a tv announcer lying, how unusual, and by the way is it true Utah is pleading for the return of the referees from the last Utah-SC game?– Wouldn’t that be ‘a sight for sore eyes’

      2. What makes you think I am not writing a book, Georgie-Porgie,
I have written many short stories but I am putting together a real book called something like “Remembering the 2022 Extraordinary SC Trojan Football Season From a Different point-of-view,” a book that has already been written on this blog the past months, and by the way a book you too could put together if you saved your Wolf clippings this past season.

      2. Kahlil Gibran had that line is a poem, not Buddha

Then Almitra spoke, saying, We would ask now of Death.
        And he said:
You would know the secret of death.
But how shall you find it unless you seek it in the heart of life?
The owl whose night-bound eyes are blind unto the day cannot unveil the mystery of light.
If you would indeed behold the spirit of death, open your heart wide unto the body of life.
For life and death are one, even as the river and the sea are one.

        In the depth of your hopes and desires lies your silent knowledge of the beyond;
And like seeds dreaming beneath the snow your heart dreams of spring.
Trust the dreams, for in them is hidden the gate to eternity.
Your fear of death is but the trembling of the shepherd when he stands before the king whose hand is to be laid upon him in honour.
Is the shepherd not joyful beneath his trembling, that he shall wear the mark of the king?
Yet is he not more mindful of his trembling?

For what is it to die but to stand naked in the wind and to melt into the sun?
And what is it to cease breathing, but to free the breath from its restless tides, that it may rise and expand and seek God unencumbered?

Only when you drink from the river of silence shall you indeed sing.
And when you have reached the mountain top, then you shall begin to climb.
And when the earth shall claim your limbs, then shall you truly dance.

Some healthy linemen would really calm my nerves though.

I met my ex when she was 14, I was 16; and, the last time I saw her she was so physically hideous that I broke down and cried. I was unable to bear her toothless, shriveled presence for longer than 10 mins.

Shane Lee has become a force since getting that cast off his arm, Gentry is back, Shaw is healthy, Bullock is outstanding and still improving, what a great centerfielder he is, and there are only so many times they can hold Tuli and not get called for it.

  11. Another reason that I think SC will beat Utah is because Utah is not the same team when they are NOT playing in Salt Lake City. In the last 34 road games, Utah is 17-17. Compare that to their home record. If you leave out the 2020 covid season (where Utah only played 5 games and most of those games they had half the team out with covid) Utah is 22-0 in the last 22 games at home. Add the 2020 season and they are still 24-1 at Rice -Eccles. The only game they lost was to SC. Once they go on the road, it is a different team altogether. Plus, Utah is banged for this coming game.

SUCC FB at the Crumbling Mausoleum vs the 41 point ‘dog Stanford. Little Petey still doesn’t know what Harbaugh’s deal is/was.

With 10 minutes to go and up 12 points, Little Petey’s bozo FB team snatches defeat from the jaws of victory vs Tixas at the RB. Curiously, the Tixas QB Young scored the winning TD untouched (sound familiar Clownster’s) in the game’s waning seconds to win the NCAA FB NC.

#Crabs, SUCC has plenty of time to choka, choka, choka, choke vs Utah.

        #Clown U “Shocks the World” losing ugly to Alabama 52 – 6.
