What is your score prediction?

Here is mine: I would love to embrace the story line of Jaxson Dart inspiring his teammates to a victory in his first career start.

But that requires me to forget Todd Orlando, Donte Williams and the general malaise of the defense is so many games this season, especially at the Coliseum.

I have to include the players too. How can veterans like Isaiah Pola-Mao be worse? Where is Drake Jackson most of the time?

And looking at younger players, how does Korey Foreman justify his season? When will the writers who did puff pieces on Foreman and his “brand” come back and say they should have focused on his on-field effort?

Finally, will there be a crowd to cheer on this team?

Chip Kelly might be a stubborn, past-his-prime, prickly clown with a horrible defensive coordinator but UCLA has to know this is its chance to get a rare victory (lately) against its rival.

I think UCLA has a better sense of purpose, which isn’t saying much between these teams.

So with all that, I’m taking UCLA, 35-28.

Who do you like?

    1. It was great to see Donte smiling to himself on the sidelines as UCLA scored final TD….

The people who were saying they hate Scott for making such a pessimistic prediction should wish things turned out that good.

  1. Ownsie here, I hope for ’67’s sake, UCLA’s 62 to 33 sneaky victory qualifies as a “decent” UCLA win?

And, I believe DTR’s TD hurdle is better/higher than Bushes’ TD hurdle.

#Ding Dong, bozo FB trips, stumbles and falls to rock bottom; elevator out of order.

      2. Well look who’s come out of the closet after five years, Timex. Hey asshole, where have you been? At least BruinRob has the stones to show up here on a regular basis. Now that UCLA has mixed in a win over USC you decide to start running your mouth here. By the way, where are your twin sisters Small Miguel and Theodore?

    1. Sat through 3 hours of Hamelton and ate dinner at a place called The Breakfast Club where where a slice of bacon could chase Lipitor the way Ucla chased Dart, I mean 1/2” of pure pig belly. After dinner I checked the score. It was 17 to something when I arrived at the Pantages. I checked at intermission Ucla was up 35 to 17. All I can think about is the king of England singing “I’ll be back la da dat dat da…”
So what I miss? Is Dart still alive? Has Slovis gotten over his bruised ego?
Congratulations Sir Owns of L. A. Your team bested my team today in a well deserved victory. I can blame Helton or I could blame Bohn maybe Swann and certainly Haden, but that only accounts for half of loss the rest is (dare I say it?) owned by the players who gave up during the third game of the season.

      1. crying’ pathetic temper tantrum throwing foot stomping children complaining is an every day occurance over here at Scotty’s place. Hell, many of you (most of you) tend to jump on the soap box 4,5,6, 10 TIMES PER DAY to complain about the same things day in/day out and bore the rest of the world…It’s “comforting” to come back here and see nothing has changed…

    2. Great win tonight for Owns’ team – as I mentioned before kickoff (and several times throughout the season as it has unfolded), the Bruins are a couple of bad plays/bounces/coaching decisions away from having had a great season…it is still a good one (if they finish it out)…we on the other hand have only one thing to concern ourselves with…whether the stench of this season is enough to sufficiently embarrass the imbeciles in charge enough to set aside their own failings in order to hire a competent and empowered coach.

  2. Mike Bohn arrived in October 2019 and I’ve constantly criticized him ever since when it became obvious that he wasn’t going to deliver Urban Meyer. In my nightmares however I never imagined it being this bad. I’ve since questioned Mike Bohn’s ability to bring in a big-time coach. We will see in about the next 20 days.

  4. MG paraphrasing Brian Kennedy, there is is the stench of failure and dogshit at USC; starting with Carol Folt and football-wise Mike Bohn. I’m hoping for a reprieve with a hire of Aranda, Fickell, or Campbell (in that order).

    1. I would agree with you regarding the defensive performance.
This defense has been shambolic since Helton inherited the Sark/Wilcox D.

I cannot fault the offense “too much.”

      1. Mostly agree, Bourbon. Although it would be nice if the o-line would continue blocking when we get inside the 2 yard line. I understand you get points for making it through those last couple yards.

  7. You gotta like #19 on defense – down 28 – 17 deep in his own end, makes a tackle, gets up and flexes.Next play, HE gets burned for a touchdown. Now it’s 35-17. But hey – at least Clay’s “kids” are having fun out there. #signaturemove. Take ’em all out for ice cream – they tried real hard.

  8. Brock Huard today’s announcer hit it right – USC needs to hire a Defensive Oriented Coach. Too many offensive guru type coaches have caused the program to slip to this very low level. Today’s attendance spoke the truth about the current state of this program.

Kyle Whittingham at Utah should be a USC candidate. Year in and Year out his defenses are outstanding. Not a flashy hire, but he is a solid football coach.

Sooner the better we hire a coach. Recruiting has been a disaster the last 5 years. All USC has been recruiting are QB’s, WR, and Defensive backs. You can talk all you want about our coaches, but at the top of the problem is recruiting. No way we have any talent on defense, and it showed today.

BYU can easily beat this team, and it is a toss up when they play Cal. You think UCLA played physical today wait till you see BYU.

Campbell, from Iowa State is not the right guy for USC. He is a good coach, but not the right guy for USC….maybe to compete in the Pac 12, but not a national championship type coach.

Difficult game to watch today which proved a QB, and a decent offense is not the correct formula to win games without a defense.

    2. Whittingham is never leaving Utah for any reason, so please stop that chant. Firstly, he is too much a man to succumb to the BS that goes around in California (in general) and USC (in specific).

Move on and help advance the search.

      1. Aranda or Fickell
      2. Campbell or (maybe Tucker, after getting waxed today)
      3. All the rest–O’brien, Franklin, DeBoer, Brady Hoke, etc etc

Only Lost 17-24 at Oregon. Beat Colorado 26-3. Beat Oregon State 39-25. Pounding Stanford right now 27-3. They will kill USC in 2 weeks.

  9. How many times today did USC get to UCLA QB- Thompson -Robinson.

ANSWER- 0 and what’s worse he had his choice take forever to unload a pass, or take off for a 10 yard run. Kind of makes you wonder if we even had 11 defensive players on the field to defend.

If we lose the last two- definitely the worst USC team in history.

Thank you Mike Bohn and Carol Folt!!!

  11. Need to make this observation: Ole Miss loves that Lane Kiffin as their coach. Florida Atlantic loved having Lane Kiffin as their coach. Tennessee hates Lane Kiffin because he left and is not their coach. Maybe Kiffin wasn’t the problem, USC was.

Ole Miss is enjoying the social media attention the dipshit brings but he keeps getting drubbed in game that matters ( Alabama ) they will hate on him too.

  14. Can we get a coach already. What the heck is taking so long? Clay Belton gets a job. Texas Tech fires there coach and has a new one in a matter of days. The early signing day is just around the corner when 70 per cent of the high school players will commit. If USC doesn’t hurry up, Washington is going to steal a good coach right under the Trojans nose.

  15. Agreed Charles R Smith. He kept Helton when it was clear he had been placed in a position so far over his head he had to light a match to see the sun. And while Helton was in the pit of despair, Bohn built an outhouse over it by hiring assistants so he wouldn’t be stuck with a buyout slightly smaller than the price of a Democrat Bill in Washington. With this newly erected outhouse, teams began to dump on the Trojans (Oregon State?) Now this architect of the biggest, deepest crapper USC has ever seen is supposed to hire the next dynasty builder?
