USC Notes: A Commitment, An Injury And Basketball News

Deijon Laffitte, a three-star defensive tackle from Ontario Colony, has committed to USC. He also had offers from Tennessee, Arizona and Washington.

  • Lincoln Riley said Romello Height will probably miss the rest of the season because of his shoulder injury. He had a medical procedure this week.
  • As if BLVD didn’t have enough worries, a USC basketball collective has been formed and already raised money to pay players.

It’s called the “3400 Club” and it has a meeting tonight with six USC basketball players.

I wonder how Mike Bohn will respond to this? From what I hear, Andy Enfield is fine with it.

    2. To the REAL Ed.G–

Sorry, Eddie, but the money meeting tonight with the ‘3400 Club’ is reserved only for 6-foot-10-inch guys and above

And I don’t blame you for your attitudes about work,
it has consistently bothered me that the word ‘work’ rhymes with jerk

  1. Hey, George! Johnny Depp is dating Joelle Rich, his attorney in the UK defamation case.

I’d have gone with Camille Vasquez, his attorney in the U.S. case. But that’s me. 😉

  2. Biden on Sunday: “So, unlike Ukraine, to be clear, sir,” “60 Minutes” correspondent Scott Pelley asked, “U.S. forces, U.S. men and women would defend Taiwan in the event of a Chinese invasion?”

    “Yes,” Biden answered.

Biden yesterday: “The U.S. is “committed” to the “One China” policy. We seek to pull peace and stability across the Taiwan Straits and remain committed to our ‘One China’ policy, which has helped prevent conflict for four decades.”

It’s almost as if he forgets what he says from one day to the next. I sure am glad he’s got someone behind the scenes to set him straight and clean up all of his messes.

But hey, no more mean tweets! 😛

      1. Time for you to move out of this country. Russia looks like a good
place for you to bitch some more. Cry me a river over PRESIDENT
BIDEN for 2+ more years. You are a heartless person!

      2. People who are responsible for 200 dead in Afghanistan, almost 700K dead Americans, tens of thousands dead Ukrainians & Russians and millions struggling to keep food on the table are calling the other side heartless. Hypocrisy at its finest.

    1. Big News– The U.S. Congressional Repos and Demos, short for the parties of the Repossessors and Demolishers, whatever that means, try to read something into it, have decreed this day the following:

“That America stands at the ready to protect and defend Taiwan,
Just as the Yanks did in saving Hawaii from the Japanese invasion
and Italy from that conniving Germany,
Admittedly, the U.S. came up a little short in protecting
Korea, Afghanistan, Iraq and Viet Nam,
but practice-makes-perfect, so Taiwan is in safe U.S. hands

Signed– All the U.S. Repos and Demos

  3. By the way, it is my understanding that Bon-Bon and Minefield are not exactly drinking buddies, they’re a little like mixing water with oil,

And so hearing that Minefield is fine with his players at last being paid,
probably means that Bon-Bon will be forced into a position of
“Sorry, pal, but ‘No way, Jose.’ “

  4. Elijah Paige decommits from Notre Dame and USC is the front-runner.

Maybe decent things are headed our way on the recruiting trail.

I’m surprised we would want a 3 star prospect at this time. Why not save the roster spots for the 4 star recruits that will come available later in the season as USC proves itself?

  5. Hopefully, they can bring in this offensive tackle who just de-committed from ND. Watch his film. This guy is really good. I’m surprised that he is not a 5 star instead of a 4 star. He is predicted to come to USC.

  6. But the SC – Oregon State game is on the PAC-12 Network, which is not carried by DIRECTV and not available without a subscription TV service. This is why the PAC-12 is a rank amateur organization that will always be behind the other conferences. Maybe it’s just me but wouldn’t it be better to have the greatest possible exposure to as many potential viewers as possible? Glad we are leaving!
