A former USC basketball coach told some supporters over the weekend that Eric Musselman is “the second coming of Bobby Knight.”
He was referring to their temperament. Of course, that’s no surprise if you’ve read this blog the past few weeks. But people are slowly learning.
Right now, however, it’s the honeymoon period and Musselman said Monday night he hopes to land some big commits this week.
- The Athletic reports the Lakers are open to the possibility of drafting Bronny James. Is anyone surprised?
- Carol Folt met with some student protestors Monday afternoon and is scheduled to meet with them again today.
“The students said at the end they wouldn’t have considered this meeting a win from their perspective, and I can fully appreciate that,” Folt said in a statement. “I think we need to continue to have those conversations, and I’m pleased we all agree on that. We’ll go day by day.”
The protestors released their own statement, which said in part, “It is evident that Folt is ignorant of the voices and demands of students and faculty at USC.”

No way will the Lakers draft LeBron’s son. Seriously, nice young man but not NBA caliber.
If Jeannie drafts him, it would not be a good message.
Frankly, I would trade LeBron and use salary to sign 3 solid players.
