If It’s Monday, There’s Still Campus News

Remember, USC used to routinely hold graduation at the Coliseum.

This was in 1950 (a rare color photo from the time).

  • The USC director of media relations who acted shamefully Sunday morning and tried to cover her identity badge when asked questions by student reporters has shut down her Linkedin account.
  • USC has suspended at least 13 protestors.

This is interesting because the students who met with USC president Carol Folt twice last week told Annenberg Media they have a recording of Folt saying she “would never” impose academic consequences on the student protestors.

“This wouldn’t be the first time Folt lied, or changed her story, or both!” said a long-time USC administrator.

The suspensions caused an early morning protest at Folt’s house this morning.

  1. The woman can’t get out of her own way, why suspend the students even if she didn’r promise not to do so leading to protests outside her home?

  2. Anybody serious about academics doesn’t build an encampment in the days or weeks leading up to finals. Probably a bunch of political science or ethnic studies, or women studies or education majors. USC should not even offer these majors. Let them go to community college or better yet get a job. McDonald’s is now paying $20 per hour, thanks Newsom.

    1. The “political science” department at UCLA [faculty & students] is made up of day-in-day-out, garden variety revolutionaries…….

    2. This doesn’t justify Folt lying to students (if reports about a guarantee of “no academic consequences” are true)

      1. The DOJ has already stated they won’t charge him because he’s not fit to stand trial.

But 81M were stupid enough to think he was fit to run the country.

    1. If they were arrested, then yes. If not, then the students are rightfully upset since they were given an assurance by Folt that she did not honor.

Biden may have RECEIVED 81m VOTES, but let’s not be naïve to think those votes were CAST by 81m PEOPLE.

  3. It almost pains me to say this but Carol “The Dolt” Folt played these protestors like a piccolo, while sending a clear message USC is NOT UCLA when it comes to this type of BS. Almost her JFK Cuban Missile Crisis moment though likely without the amphetamine injections.

  4. Concerning Folt and the protesters I am reminded of Henry Kissinger’s quip about the Iran-Iraq war: “it’s a shame they can’t both lose.”

  5. Interesting coliseum picture showing much of the stadium in black as a result of the graduates wearing black gowns and hats
