This might be the only weekend of football season where neither USC (and ex-Mater Dei) quarterback JT Daniels nor Mater Dei quarterback Bryce Young threw a TD pass.
- USC is ranked No. 15 in the preseason Associated Press Top 25. That’s about as predictable as it gets since USC is considered to be a “top 15 team.
- Today is the first day of classes at USC and no practice is scheduled.
- Former USC assistant coach Todd McNair is an assistant coach at Village Christian High School.
Good for McNair….

Since Pat ‘the plunderer’ Haden is gone and Nikias as well and Mike Garrett, why can’t USC re-hire Todd McNair?

” A panel of 61 sports writers and broadcasters from around the country votes on the poll weekly.” The list of names only has ’59’ but note this in the text for the site you cited – 61 ‘maybe’ Wolf is one of those two names missing.

Rusoviet,
It might make sense for next year. They brought in Drevino to coach the rb’s this year. it is too late to bring in a coach. But once this season is over, hopefully Drevino will take over the oline duties ands then bring back McNair. That would be a nice gesture towards the ncaa.

Paw-saw-duh-nah’ I’d love it as an honorable thing to do and also to stick it to the old guard that did far more damage to the school than any of the sports personalities ever did (save OJ). Esp. Haden that gutless wonder

I hope McNair can rebound soon. As for polls that take themselves seriously before one down of play has happened, I have no respect for them.
