This should be an easy pick. USC is better than Oregon State. USC no longer has Neil Callaway.
But . . . let’s not kid ourselves that the Trojans will not play mistake-free football. They never do. And I’m not sure the team is thrilled Jack Sears got benched. Clay Helton’s no savior as a playcaller either. If USC were not in the Pac-12, it might be hard to pick the Trojans today.
There is one caveat: If Oregon State plays like it did in the second half against Colorado, this could be interesting.
So I am going to pick USC. Would I be surprised if Oregon State won? Nope.
My pick: USC 31, Oregon State 27.
Wolfman you’re so benevolent to these rah rahs…. let me rephrase what you really mean!
WHEN Oregon State plays like it did in the second half against Colorado, this will be interesting.
So I am going to pick OSU. Would I be surprised if southern cal won? Yup.

I totally agree that ” …Clay Helton is no savior…”
However, I sure hope to see the quick-toss!!!

According to sources, an athletic aid from southern cal reserved a room adjacent to the runway where southern cal is due to land! Helton’s things in his office was put into a milk crate by the same office aid!
