Nothing like a post-midnight commitment.
That’s what USC got Saturday night when three-star offensive tackle Joey Wright of Reno, Nevada, said he would play for the Trojans.
Wright, a Class of 2020 prospect, had nine offers besides USC: Arizona, Arizona, Eastern Michigan, Fresno State, Nebraska, Nevada, San Diego State, Utah State and Washington State.
He is 6-foot-7, 280 pounds.

Another no brainer from the elite camp. He was only guy who stood up to Korey Foreman in one in one drills. Persi, who was highest rated lineman at the camp, got manhandled by Foreman, but he goes to Serra and that gets you more stars. Wright is huge and athletic. Wouldn’t be surprised to see that kid be our left tackle once he adds the size and strength.

That kid could grow 2 more feet and add 150 lbs., but as long as he has Clay “Errand Boy” Helton for a head coach…he isn’t going anywhere in terms of development.

recruiting.? My recollection was Viane T. who was headed to Alabama
which was around 6 years ago..

Trojan fans love to pretend, that mediocre 2&3 star players will develop under the coaching of Clay Helton, even though it’s never happened before. And if anything, highly rated players have regressed under the current staff. So keep on pretending, because that, and 50 cents will get you a 5th place finish in the PAC 12

Sometimes I think the wolfmans elevator just doesn’t quite make it to the top floor.
If the wolfster could appreciate the fact that a guy in High Screwell can go from 5’7″ & 160lbs to 6’3″ & 245lbs in a couple of years then he would know that it might take a couple of years to sort things out.
A couple of years ago, the NFL All-Pro DE’s were all 2* coming out of H.S.
