With all the talk about USC playing UC Davis, here’s a photo from back when the Trojans played Alabama and it wasn’t on a neutral field. It’s the 1978 USC-Alabama game, where the No. 7-ranked Trojans defeated the No. 1-ranked Crimson Tide, 24-14, in Birmingham, Ala.

Marcus was a freshman tailback playing behind Charles White…Lynn Cain was the fullback on that team (and it was an amazing offensive line – Munoz, Budde, Foster, Van Horne, Foote, Howell, Page…and not to forget Ray Peters)…
That game for me is a USC Mount Rushmore moment, along with the 1973 Rose Bowl, 1974 Notre Dame game, and the 2005 Orange Bowl thrashing of Oklahoma)…

UC Davis has a good FCS FB program capable of kicking bozo ass!
Now that Felony U has scheduled UC Davis, rah-rah Fat Cats are horrified the bozos might lose – LFOL
I mean it’s one thing to lose to a weeny FBS team, but lose to well-coached, high-energy, tough FCS team would be 20x worse than the bozo Freedom Bowl humiliation.
So now under the guise of having never scheduled an FCS team the usual herd of rah-rahs is whining for Felony U to canx the UC Davis game.
