I wouldn’t put much stock into any reports that USC president Carol Folt has made any decisions regarding Urban Meyer. Or that Rick Caruso is pushing her to hire Meyer.
Folt was hired to clean up USC. And that means not taking orders from any one person, whether it is Caruso or Wayne Hughes or someone else.
Caruso, an aspiring politician, also knows trying to force Folt to do something would not only be a bad look for a USC trustee, it would bring back memories of the Max Nikias as dictator reign.
Folt took the unprecedented step of forming a search committee to hire an athletic director. So why would she and Caruso plot by themselves whether Meyer should be the coach? Doesn’t the new A.D. have a say?
USC is about following procedures right now. If I see something different, I will report it.
All good points, Scott. But “Search Committees” rarely (if ever) set about their business without marching orders. The Committee leaders already know where they want to steer this thing….

Ms. Folt leads the Clownsters in the Hokey Pokey dance.
Everybody form a circle
Put your left foot in
Your left foot out
Your left foot in
And shake it all about
You do the hokey pokey
And turn yourself around
Now put your right foot in
Your right foot out
Right foot in
Then you shake it all about
And then you do the hokey pokey
Turn yourself around
That’s what it’s all about

Kind of like the ucla football team that last 30 years, or is it 50 years. Irrelevant by all counts. You sure picked a loser to hitch your little blue wagon to.

How is the AD for the most cheetin’ program in college history doing? Shouldn’t his ass be fired for Stinger’s association of puke u?

Everybody wants to be a USC football insider, I never gave a second thought about the report that was circulating about that issue . I’d like to see Urban Meyer as the next coach, but I’ll believe it when it happens. Funny thing though, why didn’t Rick Caruso push for Bozo Helton to be replaced, before Lynn Swann was fired, isn’t he chairman of the board? 🤔

Caruso didn’t get to where he is by obsessing about USC football

Gosh Commie Lush, while we wait for the “looksie Peckerwood” story, let’s concern ourselves with that rare Sainted Clownster hero, Pat Haden, the definition of stinking drunk, filthy AH embezzeler/looter, and two-bit, SUCC up “FireBall” flunky to “Nicky Squid.”
Let’s reminisce about the time the stupid drunk AD, St. Pat, skip to my lou’d down to the C.M. field to protect his protege and hold Semi-Sober Sark’s hand during a whinny, out of control, Sark argument with the refs.
In fact, Commie Lush, the week after SUCCX the Magical FB team loses to Utah, the Clowsters will be the featured FB team at U-Dubs “St. Pat the fucking Sucker FB festival” – much garbage will be for sale at very high premium prices.

owns, what is you prediction for ucla – WSU?
At least it is an away game, where ucla won’t be embarrassed by the fact that the visiting team has more fans in attendance than the bruins.

Glad to see Scott listens to the Dan Patrick radio show and puts his own spin on it.

I heard a rumor that Scott has applied for the position, that’s just a rumor of a rumor. I Folt wants her legacy at USC to start right she’ll have a new AD in place before November ends that way we can dump leftovers after Thanksgiving.

It’s good to know Pres Folt is not collaborating with Caruso on important institutional matters. All the scandals, mismanagement, and embarrassment that occurred during Nikias’ forgettable term also occurred during Caruso’s term on the BOT. Furthermore, the fact that Caruso and the BOT fought to keep Nikias as the university’s president despite his gross–and arguably criminal–negligence is evidence he is as spineless and morally bankrupt as Nikias. If Folt is worth her managerial salt, Caruso will be gone within a year.

I’m a North Carolina basketball fan. Well i mean I’ve always like their teams after SC.
But Roy Williams would have been fired if Folt was all about “cleaning up”.
Seriously. The NCAA are a bunch of punks letting them walk. How do you ignore fake classes being credited so players can be eligible?
She didn’t think that needed to be addressed?

2-Cents Worth:
I will let the coaching situation develop without my help or thoughts. What will be, will be.
Now, I understand there’s a game at the coliseum tonight. Funny thing, SC will be playing loose while Utah, as a solid favorite, will have all the pressure. The Utes have not won in Los Angeles, so Utah fans are craving this win.
Defense wins games. Defense can also lose games. SC will continue to have problems defending the perimeters, especially against the best backfield in the West. Troy has a long legacy of faring poorly against running quarterbacks. And this kid can throw too. Whereas, Utah has several NFL-ready players, and with the two tackles being huge and mean, the Trojans will have great difficulty establishing physicality with a running game. SC is not well-suited for a run-heavy offense because they don’t practice it. Their “practicing” will have to come during a game, this game.
Offensively, the Utes will mix it up effectively and probably wear down SC’s defense by the 3rd or 4th quarter. SC’s passing attack is good if there are no interceptions. Slovis may have gotten those out of his system. And he can hit his receivers if given time. But the Utes will be coming for him and they will get him.
As far as SC’s chances, I heard a commentator say, “I have great concerns, fundamentally. It’s a real challenge for SC. A real challenge.”
I say Utah 34 SC 17. Unfortunately
