Is this going to be like most USC games where the Trojans get a lead and then have to hold off the other team at the end?
I’ve gone back and forth on who to pick because of the fact Cal’s quarterback situation was up in the air and now a quarterback who had a month is suddenly going to start.
That said, Cal has a solid defense. USC is healthier and should have more tailbacks available but that doesn’t totally interest me until Markese Stepp is back.
It comes down to one factor for me again: Clay Helton.
I suspect he will get fired after the season but another loss will erase any doubts. With that in mind, I’ll take Cal, 27-24.
Scottie, Helton is done. You don’t need to throw the Trojan players under the bus. Cal averages about 300 yards in total offense per game, 119th out of 130 D1 teams. If they get 27 points, then it will be one of Pedergast’s worst performances, and that is saying something.
Bohn didn’t come here to perpetuate this.

Watch, after scoring only 3 pts. through the last three quarters against ASU last week, USC gets shut out in the 2nd half vs. Cal.
It remains to be seen if however many points they score in the first half will be enough to win.

Hard to see the cubbies scoring 27, “Scooter.”
Nevertheless, we know it will be a painful 3hr 45 min (with PAC 12 zebra penalties, TV time outs, faux injury t/o, etc).
Your alma matter will show up 27 to 21.
It’s OK to be a Trojan fan and still help CCH on to his next destination as a great SunBelt HC or CUSA OC.

Scottie, Scottie, Scottie, you used your heart instead of your head to pick Cal.

Scott you are a complete moron. You really don’t know shit about the
team. Give them credit for playing hard for the coaching staff even if
none of them return next season. USC 41 to 24 victory. Fight On!
