Petros Papadakis Rips USC

Petros Papadakis and Matt Smith led off both the 4 p.m. and 5 p.m. hours of their show with USC today.

Some excerpts from Papadakis:

“They had a massive talent advantage in every game yet they trailed by double digits in half the games they played.

“They trailed in final 2 minutes of four of their games.

“USC is the highest-ranked team to skip a bowl this season.

“They can hire another asst. coordinator video person. They can hire another name and likeness expert firm. 

“They can get every Yogi Roth ball-polishing article written about them in the offseason.


“It’s never going to change with the structure they have.


“Even if they beat Oregon, that would not make any difference about the overall truth about the USC football program. It is not a disciplined team. It is a front running team.

“A team that has a guy like Olaijah Griffin dancing around and thrusting his pelvis down two scores with minutes left in the game. They are fool’s gold and an embarrassing thing. It’s an absolute recurring nightmare for West Coast football that  USC can’t get off the mat.”

  1. Petros is a bitter hack who pushes all his chips in on slamming USC football. He was team captain of the worst USC football era ever.

    He is also 100% correct on these takes.

      1. I watch Petros all the time. He can be manic, he can be dead wrong (in a fun way) and he can be genuinely clever. But behind that grown up Peter Pan face I never detect a trace of bitterness.

        I like and respect Petros. He tells the truth with bluntness, honesty and dead on accuracy. He can be funny which I like as well.

  3. The only way Petros wouldn’t rip USC after the Oregon game is if he was kidnapped and gagged. But as noted above, he hits the nail on the head with his points.

    Will Helton ever be fired? The last 6 years with Helton seem to have gone on forever…

    1. This is like The Twilight zone mixed in with Groundhog day the last 6 years with Helton as the head coach. With a plot twist of somewhat sounding like an AA meeting. (Insanity) Doing the same things over and over again and expecting different results(USC),
      keeping Helton as head coach.
      God grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change (USC). The courage to change the things I can(not watch USC football anymore) and the wisdom to know the difference with(USC). Fight on!

      I disagree. Petros would talk positively about SC if they played a perfect game. If less than perfect, he would mention both the good and the bad. He covers the entire issue on the way he sees it.

  4. How refreshing! Leave it to Petros to give a honest evaluation of the program. The problem is will anyone in a position to do something to change the current situation actually do something? I won’t hold my breathe.

        I know this site has a moderator because I know posts disappear. Sadly in a day or so the important points of the post show up as new ideas from Scot (spelled wrong to avoid moderator interference) however you can see that the trojandude207 post is authentic.     You cannot tell me the firestorm of keeping Helton when he should’ve been fired last year is not beating down on Folt and Bohn every day.

    1. I don’t think they care. They are still enjoying their game balls from last year’s UCLA game” by putting them underneath their Christmas Trees this year. Helton such a great coach, muttering to themselves! As the program suffers further embarrassment, by losing the Pac 12 championship game to Oregon and cancelling their upcoming bowl game.

  6. I was surprised to hear Petros during a TV game because he’s banned in the past. But if telling the truth is ripping someone, he needs to rip more.
    He played at USC and knows what it was like in the past.
    I don’t like is voice though. His commercial for a local lawyer used to drive me crazy.

  8. When Larry Scott gets shown the door in the near future. For his non-existent leadership at the helm. That caused this debacle of the 2020 season. Hopefully he takes Yogi Roth with him. You nailed it wolfman, nothing but a “ball polisher” Pac 12 yesmen. Also all of the Pac 12 refs can go with Larry and Yogi too. By Felicia we’re done with all of you.

    USC has no discipline. Each season it gets worse.
    When I seen Olaijah Griffin celebrating It was so stupid, embarrassing, funny, and sad but it’s the way Clay Helton has raised this team.
    GRIFFIN……Sit the fuck down and take your meds or whatever because that was embarrassing as a Trojan fan but as a sports fan to see that when you are getting humiliated on National TV. Have some f*cking pride, heart, or the common sense.

    1. I believe in self editing. Read and think before your write and press send. Once in a great while a word might be appropriate. However, this guy with the bad word needs to be bleeped, edited or eliminated. This is to be a family board.
