Marv Goux was a colorful character and legendary assistant coach at USC.
He could also be a difficult co-worker. One day, a staffer was using a mimeograph machine to make copies and Goux came into the office.
“My stuff is more important than your stuff,” Goux barked and shooed away the staffer.
“What could I do? It was Marv Goux,” the staffer said.
I’m surprised that nobody is breaking a gasket over the lax conditions on the sidelines. Sitting on a helmet was taboo, but nobody’s saying anything. What a lack of discipline.
