The Pac-12 will not announce a new TV rights deal at media day according to multiple reports.
There is some spin emerging that it is simply because new players have emerged as potential suitors. I don’t know about that.
Yahoo reports “it’s unclear with whom the Pac-12 has been negotiating.”
And the pro-Pac-12 media hasn’t exactly named any one yet either. The only thing certain is the wait continues.
- TCU announced the death of former tennis coach Dave Borelli yesterday and it took USC about eight hours to follow up.
In one sense it’s understandable because no one in the athletic dept. was probably familiar with Borelli and it probably took some time to put something out. It’s less understandable when you consider former SID Tim Tessalone has time to go to all the football and basketball games and help out but then can’t assist on an obituary for someone he worked with directly in the 1980’s.
Scott, why does it take you 24 to 48 hours to get information out when often a follow blog member has posted it 24 in advance of your tardiness. It’s pathetic to call USC out when you can’t even keep your third-rate blog in line….MG will offer a rebuttal for his hero…. “but but but”….. yes, Michael!

Scott provides all information first – before anyone else – and also last – after everyone beats him to it. Scott is omniscient and omnipotent. He may even be the Trinity. Do not try to understand him. Somethings just need to be accepted purely on faith.

Scott is everyone and no one at the same time. An enigma.

Scott, what do you have against Tessalone? He gets mentioned often for someone who hasn’t worked at USC for a couple years.

Hey Commish, y r u not announcing the least attractive media deal? Y bcuz it’s a multi year deal that is a series of 1 year deals that have a clause for the Ducks, n Dogs to exit after no national non conference will be seen on regular TV. It will be based on how many streaming subscriptions are done before next year. It’s incentive based subscriptions deal. No one will pay for watching those WAC conference games. OreSt v WSt or Stanford v Cal. ” How About Them WACBOYS”. The deal is less than 200M per year. Way to go Commish GK.

Scooter,
The Pac 12 media is dead and because of this, they will lose the league. There will be no more Pac 12. It will take years to get all the teams back in a league. If that happens, then the new league has to come out with a strong brand of marketing and getting the games on tv where everyone can see.
