The Worst Takes At Pac-12 Media Don’t Always Come From Coaches

When I talk about media fanboys, I’m usually referring to the Internet reporters.

But they can come from the legitimate media too.

This guy interviewed Lincoln Riley on Friday for the Los Angeles Times and immediately concluded USC will make the College Football Playoff.

There’s nothing wrong with picking USC to make the CFP. But how easily swayed are you to come to this conclusion after spending a few minutes with Riley at media day?

Remember this is the same person who picked USC to win the Pac-12 in 2019. A “cultural shift” had occurred under Clay Helton. And he wanted JT Daniels at QB.

USC finished 8-5. No cultural shift. Most observers think USC would have been worse if Kedon Slovis hadn’t replaced Daniels that season.

      Of the Pac-12 Championship loss wasn’t bad enough, one of USC defensive coordinator Alex Grinch’s former players, Ronnie Perkins (Oklahoma), added insult to injury with a major burn on his former coach.

      Amid the struggles that led to USC’s 47-24 loss to Utah, one reporter asked what Alex Grinch does all week. Perkins responded, likely from personal experience.

      “Trash players to draft scouts,” Perkins said.

      Last season ‘Ol Mule Shoe’s boyfriend Alex Grinch was being asked why certain players weren’t seeing any playing time during games, that idiot Grinch would say, “I didn’t like the way he practiced”

      Grinch said that all the time about Raesjon Davis. Davis should have been starting ahead of most of those girls Grinch had in there, but he doesn’t care for Davis.

      And Grinch will pull that same shit this year again, he’ll pick his favorites and keep the players who don’t kiss his ass on the bench.
