USC Notes: Recruit Flipping Commitment?

It was just last month offensive lineman Manasse Itete of Modesto committed to USC. But now recruiting analysts Steve Wiltfong and Brandon Huffman are predicting he will flip to Florida State.

If someone cannot keep a commitment for about a month, it’s another example of why recruiting commitments are often worthless.

Florida State is also trying to flip offensive lineman Jason Zandamela, who also committed to USC last month.

  • The Pac-12’s CEO Group and athletic directors will meet tonight to discuss the next steps expansion now that Colorado is moving to the Big 12. No rush, right?
  • LeBron James has tweeted a statement about his family, saying “Everyone doing great” after his son, Bronny, suffered a cardiac arrest at the Galen Center.

  1. Oh yeah, we’re just “mocking the elderly” for the heck of it. Give me a break!!

Sen. Dianne Feinstein, D-Calif., appeared confused Thursday during a routine Senate committee proceeding, where she began reading from her prepared remarks instead of saying “aye” during a roll call vote. When it came Feinstein’s turn to say “aye,” as all members of the subcommittee do in order to have their votes recorded, the longtime California senator seemingly froze up.

“Just say, ‘Aye,'” Sen. Patty Murray, D-Wash., told Feinstein.

    “Pardon me,” Feinstein responded.

    “Aye,” Murray reiterated.

Instead of registering her vote, Feinstein launched into remarks in favor of the bill, a process that was slated to come later in the meeting after the roll call is completed. Feinstein was cut off by a staff member who appeared to tell the senator that the committee was still in the process of calling roll.

“Just say, ‘Aye,'” Murray told Feinstein once more.

“Okay, just…” Feinstein said as she appeared to remain confused about what was taking place at the time.

Laughing, Feinstein then appeared to realize her mistake and said, “Aye.”

      1. …time to face facts…. there are maybe 5 Senators and 25 House Reps who aren’t owned by special interests … the rest [whether braindead or merely soul-dead] do what they are instructed to do….

No loss there. After she sprains her ankle running to the buffet line she won’t sniff the field for about 3 years

      1. And you will get no argument from the conservative posters on this board about it being time for Mitch to enjoy retirement.

We’re not in denial about that, the way you & your klan are about Joe, John & Diane.

      2. tebow –I guess you’ve already heard the joke that’s going around: “Mitch was observing a moment of silence to commemorate all the lives lost as a result of his warmongering.”

      3. There’s a special place in hell reserved for all of you trumpster republicans, right alongside Moscow Mitch (when he gets there), Jerry Falwell, Hitler, Ted Bundy, Charles Manson, Geoffrey Epstein, all the filth that you resemble and have aligned yourself with over the years, you’re all going to get what you have coming to you for all the hate you’ve displayed, all the prejudice and meanness you’ve shown towards the unfortunate immigrants that you love to bad mouth and treat like shit.

All the wars your beloved GOP cult members started that you condoned, turning a blind eye to corrupt GOP policies that screwed over fellow working class Americans in favor of Corporate Greed, for your constant support of that worthless corrupt treasonous rapist Donald Trump and many more sins you took part in, yep you’re all going to hell…enjoy!

So Cal — It is scary there are voters as invincibly ignorant as tebow — who equate Trump with Mitch [Trump hates McConnell & everything he stands for] or equate Trump with war [Trump hates war & is the only recent President to stand up to the Pentagon & the warmongers]… #HeOughtaStickToB.S.OnTheMoonLanding&RacistRants…

  2. It’s normal to see that in recruiting. Florida St. lost out on many recruits so now they have to spend-er, pry and poach to catch up to Clemson and Miami. It’s a long way to December, I wouldn’t worry.

I find it comical how people throw stones and accusations on this board about people they wouldn’t spit on if they were on fire. The idea that any side can condone or condemn the actions of the other political spectrum when A) they lack any political willpower, capital or advocacy to change things for the better and
    B) They really don’t care about politics, it’s just another excuse to whine.
