Washington coach Kalen DeBoer was asked today about whether Jen Cohen might one day bring him to USC?

Jen Cohen is now the AD at USC.
If Lincoln Riley leaves for the NFL, would Cohen bring DeBoer to USC? pic.twitter.com/Kdn1MZgzvV
- Nick Bowes, who has been chief operating officer at USC and came from Cincinnati, has left to become Deputy Atheltic Director and Chief Financial Officer at Louisville.
This is interesting because Bowes was one of Mike Bohn’s handpicked administrators and highest-ranking member following the departure of Brandon Sosna. Did he leave because USC hired a new athletic director? His wife, Lindsay Jaffe, remains a Senior Associate Athletic Director at USC. She also came from Cincinnati.
- This is why all-time lists drive me crazy. Where is Paul Westphal? Where is Gus Williams? This is shocking.

SG – Sharman
SF – Miner
PF – Gibson
C – E. Mobley
The toughest omission was Sam Clancy, but gave the nod to Taj because of his NBA longevity.
Kinda silly to compare Sharman and DeRozan on court but both guys defined by NBA legacy and Sharman made NBA 75. https://t.co/TEgE9cwvbo
IF Riley EVER leaves USC, DeBoer should be a top choice. Where would Riley go and would they pay him more? Riley is now USC 100%. He ain’t going pro. Even TB is getting used to him.

Ms Jen is going to probably clean some house and bring in some new blood. I sure hope so.

I’m confused, is this a list of 5 people you would like to shower with?
If so, here’s my list:
Justin Trudeau
Barack Obama
Elton John
Chip Kelly
Hunter Biden

‘Ol Mule Shoe will be headed to Dallas in a year or so. The one downside he sees in that is he won’t be able to take his boyfriend Alex Grinch along as defensive coordinator or in any other coaching capacity.
Chris Petersen will be the next USC football head coach. The sooner that happens the better.

Ronnie Coleman? Did he mean Gary Coleman?

Is it what they did at USC or in the NBA? The BIGGEST miss on this list is Cliff Robinson at the 5. He was great in two years at ‘SC then went into the league at 18 or 19 years old. Played +/- 15 years in the NBA and averaged +/- 18 pints and +/- 9 boards. Westphal and G. Williams great at USC and in the league and both won NBA championships. Clancy was a beast, but I’d go with Wayne Carlander (POY and Pac-10 champs in’85 and swept UCLA). Miner arguably best USC player ever, but a bust in the NBA.

Agree with Kahlua. Cliff Robinson over Mobley . Paul Westphal, Gus Williams, and
Bill Sharman are no brainers. Who is the fifth – Miner or DeRozan. We don’t need a power forward.

Cliff Robinson, he was The Man in his day
My only encounter was patting him on the back before going out to end a basketball game, giving him encouragement.
He just casually looked back to see who Touched him
But we lost anyway

I keep wondering, has anyone anywhere put out a greatest list that EVERYONE agreed with? This is Wolfies favorites, and I am sure everyone has a fav of their own that got left off. I don’t cuz I don’t follow basketball much or even care about it. Especially when we are in game week 1 of a new season. Was there no football news?

I don’t think Reilly is going anywhere for at least 5 years. There are 10 million reasons why. The move to the B1G will provide another challenge for him and he loves challenges. He also has a young family and I suspect his wife and kids are adopting well to that beautiful mansion in Palos Verdes over looking the Pacific. You can’t duplicate that home or the weather in Dallas. And Reilly has stated on multiple occasions that he enjoys the laid back attitude of the people toward him and his family. They tend not to bother him when he is with his family in a public setting and that is much different from his experience in Oklahoma. Lifestyle matters.

We can hope your words are true because SC needs this guy

Agree LJ. He is a wonderful coach. And perhaps the smartest thing that USC did was front him the down payment on his home and arrange favorable financing through the SC credit union. Lincoln’s wife and kids are not going to want to leave that home especially if they secured a top notch elementary school nearby and PV has plenty of them. Keep the wife and kids happy and Lincoln likely stays.

If things don’t go well in the Big Ten it won’t be Riley wanting to leave USC ….but vice versa.

Once LR and family continue to witness the lawlessness growing everyday in LA County sponsored by Gascon and lefty city council, Oklahoma wasn’t so bad after all or perhaps the safer places in the NFL i.e. Cowboys, Titans or……

City?! Newsom completely dismantled death row at San Quentin. California has some of the sickest, blood thirsty savages in the entire country, yet we haven’t executed anyone since 2006. It’s much worse than just LA.

My Friend Owns,
I think it’s obvious this is much more an ‘eye for an eye’ crowd than a ‘turn the other cheek’ crowd. [I like the Number One Rule of the Round Table —“Violence is permissible to defend the lives and the property of those who do turn the other cheek” —kinda a mixture of New & Old Testament]…

Notice how when it comes to crime slo cal and the other idiot republicans never bring up all the rapist and pedophiles that their church enabled, protected and moved around so that they could rape even more children?
You want to start executing criminals, start with the clergy, those filthy bastards prey on children and then cover for each other…bunch of sick fucking perverts. They’re as bad as the republican pedophile politicians.

Monte: At this point, the Reilly’s are likely insulated from the violence and degradation because they live in PV and roam about in the South Bay. No reason for the wife and kids to get anywhere near LA unless on game day and then they get a professional driver/security guard. The sad thing in that we could eliminate this in a relatively short period of time. When Riordian was Mayor he brought in Bratton as a police chief and he instituted “broken window policing.” It worked. The three strikes laws and cash bail also worked but democratic politicians like Newsome and Bass and Gascon all backed by Soros money changed that in favor of weak police enforcement, defund the police, sue the police, no cash bail, let the homeless camp and urinate on the street, don’t prosecute theft, or trespassing or drug crimes and now we have chaos. But the corrupt California government unions will support these leftist politicians and with mail in voting, illegal aliens voting for state benefits to illegals equal to California residents, and legal voter harvesting they will be tough to beat.

You wanna fix things? California is not the place to start. The “republican” [yeah, I know] House is the place. All they need to do is stop subsiding the executive branch. Starve Biden to the table. It’s a lot easier to do than impeachment….cuz it doesn’t require Senate confirmation.

I don’t agree with the top 5 great USC, Wolfe. It should be college n pro success. My top is 1. Sharman, Robinson, Williams, DeRozen, Westphal. Honorable Mention: Mobley, Mayo, Miner, Gibson, McLaughlin. Maybe the it should be 1st & 2nd team, which would be better.

Reggie Bush is suing the NCAA for defamation for a statement made in July of 2021. The NCAA said that Reggie had been involved in a pay for play scheme. In California, the statute of limitations for defamation is one year from date of first publication. Though there is a Discovery Exception Rule applies in situations where the plaintiff did not know about the statement until some time after the statute of limitations started running.
They will have to plead around the statute, which is not unusual.
