Why did he play in the first half last week? He wasn’t supposed to. USC probably forgot or didn’t realize he was ejected against Arizoana State last year.
The issue only came out today because the media in Arizona brought it up and the Pac-12 responded:
The NCAA rulebook actually doesn’t mention Week One: “Ejection for the remainder of the game and the first half of the next game. For fighting in the last game of a season, those with remaining eligibility shall serve suspensions during the first game of the next season for which they are eligible.”

Um, the reason why those loans were made available was the fact that bankers were using mortages and bundlling them together in special investment vehicles and selling them to investors like insurance companies and hedge funds. This unregulated equity market allowed lenders (banks) to offer outrageous loans to C an D level mortage seekers. It was the greed of the S& L days revisited. Kinda Tulips in Real Estate.

I agree about peoples’ responsibility and not walking away from property but for someone that owes $500k on a property now worth $300k, well, there’s your ethical dilemma.
I had 30 yrs in mortgage industry and was in Capital Markets during that meltdown…no bueno.

So what do Clinton and CRA have to do with people lacking the desire to pay their mortgages, home values dropping like a sinking anchor, and the greed of investors to ignore the obvious? Your 3rd grade IQ makes it impossible for you to grasp simple concepts like the fact, confirmed by the NY Times, that the Clinton Administration used the CRA to force banks to make loans to deadbeats like you who could not make the payments.
The primary reason why banks gave credits to people who couldn’t afford to pay it back was that banks were required by government regulatory agencies (the Fair Housing Act of 1968, the Community Reinvestment Act of 1977 and the Equal Credit Opportunity Act of 1974) to “energizing the affordable-housing/subprime-lending efforts that subsequently destroyed the residential real estate market”.
Under these laws, especially under the CRA “banks had a legal duty to make high-risk home loans to low-income borrowers”.
Even giant sponsored enterprises (GSEs) were forced by the Clinton administration to have “at least 50 percent of their loan portfolios in affordable housing (subprime) loans”, which was incredibly risky and subsequently led to their failure
