I’ve heard from a lot of USC fans since I mentioned the insufferable music piped into the Coliseum that required the referee to order officials to stop playing during the game.
But that’s not the only problem. The music plays over the USC band. The band has given up trying to play between downs because the DJ drowns them out. The Video Board volume is way too loud with annoying in-stadium commercials.
I get this is all supposedly a way to appeal to younger fans. But a college football game differs from pro sports because of the band, the cheerleaders, the student sections.
USC attracts fans by winning. It doesn’t need to be a pro sports event to draw fans to the game.
- Stat of the day: USC’s opponents the first three games are 2-5 this season.
Get rid of the ‘woke’ ghetto idiocy championed by the usual suspects – porcine white females that are all demoncrats

As I’ve stated, we love having the DJ at women’s volleyball. It’s great entertainment for an event that is lucky to draw 1K. And younger spectators love it! (all the little girls aspiring to become USC volleyball players)
I believe it’s the same guy and he does a fantastic job!
But at football games? No thanks.

Gave up my season tix in 2018 during the renovation. Went back for one game in 2022. The game experience and environment has changed too much. Have little to no interest in going back for another or buying the season tix again.

Me Wolf, your comments on the Coliseum music scene are shared wholeheartedly. Your comments on USC opponents is not. I hope you would expect and enjoy 3 loses applied by the Trojans. Thus, the opponents combined record is 2-2. Not much to critique with that view, is there?

SC should follow the Dodgers lead and let its primary musician(s) play the music. Dodgers with its Organist and USC with its band. Gives the game some personality. Dodgers even piped down their music over time.

Their opponents may be 2-5 but SC didn’t beat each one 2-0, that’s the difference.

Your spot on Budda. Maybe we can bring it up with Jen, except the “broad riding Traveler” part. Think of the broad as Joan of Arc. Well, yes that is a stretch. But I still wouldn’t bring it up with Jen.

The Spirit of Troy USC Trojan Marching Band stuck in the worst seats in the house in the peristyle end zone. They are students and used to sit with the students in the student section!

Garrett knew he could get top dollar for those 300+ seats during the PC years and screwed the band which was the loudest cheering section throughout the lean years, (Tolner, Smith, Robinson II and Hackett).

Zachariah Branch has an extra gear. That punt return reminded me of OJ’s run against UCLA in 1967 and Nelson Agholor’s punt return against Cal in 2013 (about same distance and angle on the field). Looked like he was shot out of a cannon.

The Pac-12 will as usual cannibalize itself, especially with 8 teams in the top 25 (presently). 2-losses probably disqualifies the Pac-12 again

Mel Tucker from Michigan State has been accused of sexual harrassment. I would say he’s got about a 1% chance of surviving this. He’s probably gone. When a woman accusses a man of sexual harrasment in todays america it’s “you’re guilty until proven innocent”. It’s your job to prove that she’s lying. Good luck!!!
It will probably go down to minority groups(supporting Tucker) versus womens groups(supporting the woman). What about a thing called THE TRUTH? No, that won’t be a factor. My guess is the Spartans will soon have an interim coach.

He’s a minority. That might help him but I’m not sure that it will save him. At SC he’d be gone. Being black didn’t help some of those players who were accused of that before at SC. But I don’t know about MSU.

Yet you complain when nobody shows up to the Coli or complain that USC is lying about attendance so when they get students and youngsters out to fill the stadium you have a huge problem with that too! Look your old school days are over ok!? Only old fogies are complaining about music when this should be glorious days of lighting up scoreboards. I now see why your alma mater does not even let you on campus anymore. You piece of shit!

Maybe that’s WHY nobody shows up at the Coliseum, because the hired help has taken much of the charm and tradition away and made it an unpleasant experience.
