USC Gets Second Oregon State (Arnold) Commit

Oregon State safety Akili Arnold committed to USC today, joining his brother, Beavers LB Easton Mascarenas-Arnold, who committed Saturday night.

The Oregon State program develops players (unlike USC), so these are solid pickups for the defense.

One question with the new defensive staff is whether the safeties will be coached by D’Anton Lynn or secondary coach Doug Belk. Lynn did not coach safeties at UCLA but the Bruins had separate cornerbacks and safeties coaches.

    1. I am really thinking Nua is gone too. I dont see him mentioned in this article and he didnt get a single solid defensive line commitment in 2024. I wonder if USC has any chance at flipping some high school commits to other programs, for instance, KVA who is committed to Notre Dame.

      Seems like the offensive line is the the biggest question mark for me.

      These arent 5 star athletes they are flipping, even if they are really solid players.
