USC Notes: A Coach Who Deserves Contract Extension

USC baseball coach Andy Stankiewicz should be demanding a contract extension.

USC has 27 home games this season and 21 will be played at Orange County Great Park in Irvine; three midweek contests will be at Loyola Marymount and a three-game series against Oregon State (March 28-30) will be played at UC Irvine.

USC will also practice daily at El Camino College in Torrance. This is because Dedeaux Field is being moved and rebuilt so Lincoln Riley can get his new football building.

USC realizes the baseball schedule is bad for optics and has made all home games free this season. The Trojans won’t be at Dedeaux Field the following season either.

Remember, when Stankiewicz got hired, he was told the new baseball stadium would take one year. But it will actually take two years because it is being moved closer to Vermont Ave.

  • Former USC linebacker and assistant coach Joe Barry was fired as defensive coordinator by the Green Bay Packers.
  • Kliff Kingsbury interviewed with the Eagles for their offensive coordinator position.

  1. Kingsbury is interviewing everywhere, but can’t seem to get an offer. Hey Cliffy, try the El Segundo flag football league come Fall, they might have an opening.

  2. Wiley is getting a new football building when he may be on his way out and meanwhile basketball and baseball are treated as if ugly stepsisters

  3. Lincoln Riley, Kliff Kingsbury, and Graham Harrell are three con artist 😂. They should write a book on how to make millions from Universities and NFL owners.
