The Crosstown Rivalry Never Takes A Break

Let’s be clear: The performances of USC and UCLA in football and basketball has been embarrassing as the Big Ten move beckons.

UCLA fans have rightly been concerned about the football offseason, with the uncertainty regarding Chip Kelly, staff departures and Kelly’s indifferent recruiting. And since I’m probably Lincoln Riley’s most vocal media critic, I think I can mention these things without being accused of being a USC homer.

All of this is to highlight that neither school should really brag much about beating the other given the overall pathetic results. Not that I’m at all surprised by this tweet, which takes a stab at humor. But in reality, it plays into the stereotype of UCLA football fans. That they care more about beating USC than winning the rest of their games.

  1. That has always been an exaggeration that sucla only cares about beating SC, especially now with the playoffs looming, just get into that 12-game arena and it will take more than only beating the Trojans

      2. That’s an interesting comment you made……let me add to it…… 8 out of the top 10 states with the highest murder rate per capita are red states. I am sure you know that, right?

      3. Friendly Advice to Gabby:
Sit this election out. It’ll be easier on your health. Nothing about it is going to make you happy.
[Biden is literally printing money to buy votes, speaking alien languages at every event he shows up at, stumbling into a Third World War in the Middle East, turning the Justice Department into the most hated entity in the country …. & Gabby is worried about the fact Alaska goes to the top of the Murder Rate Class if 10 people die in a shopping mall shootout]…..

      1. I don’t usually agree with Gabby politically but I think this time he is right on. My answer to that would be that the big crime rates have always been in the big cities which were usually liberal. The criminals are now beginning to move into the suburbs where they create more crime and pretty soon the whole state has a lot of crime. Many of those red states have a lot of big cities and therefore the state crime rate is growing.
Also, we must not forget that red states like California, Hawaii, New Mexico, Illinois, Maryland, New Jersey and Pennsylvannia(which are all red states) are not counted because they refuse to give out their crime statistics. And those states are high crime states. But, having said that…..let’s be honest…..this country is imploding morally. Porter Stansberry is an expert on culture. He predicted in 2000 that america would would implode morally. Today, in 2024, he is predicting that we will implode violently…..a civil war.

    1. I am getting my reds and blues mixed up. Hawaii isn’t a red state. I don’t think any of those other states are either. I meant blue. I’m not sure but I’m thinking that they are high crime states. Otherwise, why would they refuse to give out their crime stats. If my state was a low crime rate state and I was governor, I would want people to know it.
