USC signed three players today. Two of the three were 3-stars per Rivals. Like I said, Signing Day in February just isn’t what it used to be.
- Alex Grinch did an interview today with the Associated Press.
“What happens is when you don’t have the success that you expect, that you can circle that and highlight that, and it leaves a bad taste in your mouth, but it also creates a chip on your shoulder,” Grinch said. “I’m not sure there’d be anyone in the country with a bigger chip than what I have.”
- Steve Sarkisian on why he hired Johnny Nansen as an assistant coach at Texas.
“I know he is an ace recruiter on the West Coast and in California. To get someone with a strong footprint in California was big for me.”
Let’s be honest, he just wanted to hire his wingman.
- Long Beach State women’s volleyball coach Tyler Hildebrand is supposedly going to become a USC’s women’s volleyball assistant coach. Seems like an odd move unless he was promised the head-coaching job.
- Dominic Choi, the new LAPD interim chief, is a USC graduate.

Joe’s economy is kicking ass!……. It must suck when you have zero discretionary income to take advantage of it.

I’m sure you do! Since you’re the only person on this blog who has sick thoughts about them.
Heck, you have sick thoughts about a lot of things, including Joe below. You really need help.

The fraud economy is going to burst over the summer as soon as the reverse repo is drained. Most people are clueless that the market is in the process of absorbing 2.3 trillion of liquidity since last June. Just irresponsible to be aiming that firehose of liquidity at the markets after the massive past stimulus.
Total interest payments by end of this year will be 1.4 trillion annualized, which is almost double what we spend on the military. That is simply unsustainable.
There are many ways politicians can make the economy look good today, but rob from our future. More people need to look at the policies of a president and how they impact that future. For example, Clinton allowed China into WTO and it stripped our economy of production and hollowed out the middle class. Reagan ushered in the era of deficit spending and decades later we will be paying the price (soon). Trump had many middle east nations sign the Abraham Accords and was getting closer to a sustainable middle east peace before Biden unwound all that work by taking sanctions off Iraq and caused the current problems.
By the way, many of the numbers cited by our government are just false. Inflation figures have hedonic adjustments that make them a joke. Employment figures are constantly adjusted downward after the initial positive announcements. Employment figures also are being propped up by immigrant labor and multiple job holders.

You failed to talk about the big neutralizer “GDP”……. the best representation of the real U.S. economy is gross domestic product. In his first four years in office, Trump had by far the lowest average U.S. GDP growth rate of any of the last seven U.S. presidents.
Going back to 1963, Biden has the second-best unemployment rate and second-best GDP growth rate
Your entire rant was BS…….Wall Street is laughing at you

After losing to Ohio State in the Cotton Bowl Helton said, “we’ll be back next year with a chip on our shoulder.” Helton also said losing to Iowa in the Holiday Bowl would cause the team to “play with a chip on their shoulder next season.” After losing to Tulane Grinch said “we’ll come back with a chip on our shoulder.”

You’d think Grinch would wait and see if he could first have some success on the field … but you would be wrong.

Who the hell is our “Bigman” coach? Has Eric Mobley been fired yet?
Does he have more 5-star kids in high school that I don’t know about?
Is Coach Jen Cohen going to spend some money on a basketball coach?
or buy another box of Ben Wa balls?

“Chip on his shoulder?”– in Grinch’s case it should be more like a “Redwood tree on his shoulder”

One thing you got to give Wolf, Ken, is that his type of “prose” does elicit reaction, which is his sole aim
