USC Notes: UCLA Makes A Move

UCLA’s hired Eric Bieniemy as offensive coordinator. It’s funny how things work in coaching. Bieniemy’s name was floated as a candidate when Chip Kelly resigned.

Now he’s settling for being a college offensive coordinator. But then who would guess two months ago that DeShaun Foster would be UCLA’s new head coach?

Remember, Bieniemy was also supposed to be the heir apparent to Andy Reid in Kansas City and couldn’t land a job as an NFL head coach despite countless interviews.

  • Speaking of Foster, he was handing out T-shirts to UCLA students this morning for tonight’s game vs. USC at Pauley Pavalion

The game is a sell out, believe it or not. Maybe USC can put its game of the season together tonight. I wouldn’t bet on it.

  1. Scott, it won’t take SC’s season-best to beat sucla, just play better than usual will do it,
    and why not a sellout at Pauley for an SC-sucla match,
    suclas support basketball and Trojans favor football (but I still like basketball too)

  2. At least Bieniemy didn’t pull out the race card for his inability to land an NFL head coaching job, some guys just aren’t cut out for that kind of role

  10. Wolf’s pettiness is at its worst when it comes to his writings about
    Dandy Andy Enfield and his 12-year record at SC where he wins 60% of his games and got the Trojans into the NCAA Tournament most of those year including an unprecedented (for SC) 3 in a row prior to this season.
    sucla’s Cronin calls Andy “a great coach” and that was before Andy beat him again in last night’s craftily coached game

      2. If SC can defeat second place WSU on the road Thursday night then we can get our hopes up. This is a really bad UCLA team- only 14-13 and NIT bound at best.
